First sorce i play in any game (know the consept behind it but not how to build it (basicly a good solo leveling build)

now i Think ai have made many mistake in my leveling up as i die a bit too much for my liking (when playing 2 or more mobs the same level for example its about 50% chanse i make it) note this could also be that i suck ) i was thinking on taking the pet class or the dark magic but i dont know how "thin" i can spread at this moment.

should i save up for a respec? or continue but with some frendly help from you

my sorcerer uses the first pet unstable Familiar/clanfear ,crystal shard/fragments, mages fury/endless fury, i use soul trap / consuming trap (for life and mana returns helps loads) lightning slash/flood for aoe
and i can take on many mobs and stay alive nicely. hope this helps with first lot of spells.
mages fury first then crystal shard then familer/clanfear, finally soultrap.consum those first will set u up.
and for weapon destro staff is awsome as destructive touch is really good with a fire-staff as it knocks em back, only with a fire staff tho.

sorry forgot to mention i did use duel blades up until 15 then i use destro fire staff tho duel blades is good wish i started with staff (but have got staff ahead of my blades now, which do come in handy if close melee fights are needed)but staff is loads better

I also went with a darkelf sorc build, I use dual blades for a stam attack (rapid strikes) and endless fury/curse/clannfear/Silver Shards or whatever else u like.. now in 20's I have Surge for more killing power... using medium armor. it was a bit tough in the lower levels but once I got to level 15 or so with some decent gear (and got better at fighting) I have been able to do quests many levels higher than my toon. Very important to get your interrupts in..

starting adding a skillpoint in darkmagic and using soulshard and using more slowdows (icewall ) a bit more made me live longer thx (any more feedback is welcome )

Consider rushing for dark conversion. Consider using volatile familiar as your aoe source and off tank solution. You can pretty much do anything with crystal fragments, Volatile and dark conversion.

Do not open with mages fury...that is your finisher.

You need three skills...curse, shard, fury - I also use the winged pet.

Morph shard to do aoe damage, morph curse for shorter duration and fury for increased damage. I originally had winged for magicka regen but have found morphing it to heal you is preferable,

Pick out 3-5 mobs, open with curse, then hit with 1-2 shards and finish with fury. This completely annihilates even level groups and with an extra shard you can clear groups 4-5 levels higher than you. Do not stand still, make sure you are moving around.

I also changed from two hander, which I love, but it's soooo slow, to DW and use whirlwhind to finish large groups if I happen to get low on magicka...

From a purely min max perspective I think you are better served by sword and board, because the shield is huge for survivability and very little of your damage comes from weapons anyway.

I am 40, and this has worked since I obtained those skills, I have friends working on their veteran ranks and they confirmed that this continues to work to 50, but that after that you have to mix it up a bit.
