Group Tool almost useless

Well today I found out that the group tool is almost useless. Maybe not too many people use it at all.

Anyways the biggest concern with it is that stupid level restriction it has. I have no idea of who came up with this stupid idea but I guess he/she isn't very smart. I don't quite get the logic in those restricted levels.

I was level 38 and I decided to finish Tempest Island dungeon. However I had to finish few quests first. It happened so I leveled-up and bang... no more looking for Tempest Island in the group tool. Now I am only allowed to search for level 41-43

I don't get it...

Just go back to the zone and ask in zone chat or in one of your guilds for a grounp there's loads of people about.. if you've out levelled the dungeon well that's just it.. I don't see the big issue.

I went back and did fungal grotto at lv 28 because I missed it, was no problem.

I don't see any harm in allowing people to auto group for lower content. Yeah makes it easier for people with the high level but anything that encourages grouping and socialising in an mmo is a good thing right?

I'm sorry, but I don't want high levels ruining my fun in dungeons. If you missed it the first time, there is always the veteran version...

He said he out-leveled it by one, and if you notice, the next dungeons are two levels above his new one. I had a similar experience and found it frustrating as well.

The best solution to this is to join a guild... a real guild... not one of those trash trading guilds.

I know joining a guild solves a lot of problems. From bugs to the global financial crisis but for haven sake 95% of the guilds are trash. All my 5 guilds are trash. Nobody even talks in those guild chats. The best party groups so far have always been with random people found via group search tool.

I was also unaware that a level 39 char would be considered a "high-level" in a level 38 dungeon. Gee that puts a whole new perspective to a MMO genre...

Yes we should be allowed to use the tool for lower level dungeons with some restrictions or more refined searchs, I never been to Fungal grotto xD
However this isn't priority, there are plenty of more important issues,buggs and problems to go about as it is. This never stopped me from finding groups for lower level dungeons. No big deal. Don't rant or call people stupid pls?

In my experience, it is the worst grouping tool I've ever encountered in any MMO.

So far, from levels 10-30 you are allowed to queue for dungeons that are 2-4 levels too high for you but once you actually get to the point of being the right level for a dungeon you have 1 level before you are considered "too high" to queue for it. So even if you do get a group with the group finder, you will probably all be too low-level for the content you are queueing for.

Case in point, you can queue for the level 12-15 dungeons at level 10. You will die horribly and take your group down with you at level 10 but you can queue for it. But once you hit level 16 you cannot queue for it. You can, however queue for the level 21 dungeons in the next zone. You won't be able to complete those either, but you can queue for them. Now I'm level 26 and I can't queue for any of the dungeons in my level, but I can queue for the level 28-30 dungeons. Though I'm pretty sure I'd get my group wiped if I did.
