AddOn Export for Guild Support isn't Really Possible

The option to export data to a file, so I can upload my guild roster to my website, was removed from the API.

To have an offline roster on my website, updatable from ingame data, it is basically impossible now. It *was* possible, until ZOS turned off the export to file functionality.

When are they going to bring that back?

    Save your roster to your addon's saved variables. Then have that information uploaded to the website. This is how everyone else has to do it, and how it's been done in WoW for years.

    Doubting this is still active, but hoping someone will see. What did you guys do to get the roster exported from in-game? Thanks in advance!

    Saved variables are stored as a .lua table on the disk (SavedVariables folder)
    Using the Addon API, one can extract all the data into a saved variable file with fuly automatic itteration over all Guilds and Guildmembers.

    Parsing the .lua file to bring it's data onto the website is the hard part. While the saved data is automation friendly, you need to do work to get it on the website.
    If there is a way to import XML files on your website, it might be easiest to just transform the .lua file to XML (both are rather similar).

    I guess this means that my search for an addon to download the guild roster in a spreadsheet can pretty much end here -_-

    I don't know enough about what you're talking about to attempt to do it on my own :/
