Does having a "monster quest" prevent you from getting infected by the other team?

So my question is this, if my character has the "Hircine's Gift" quest, does that prevent me from picking up vampirism? If I still had the Sanies Lupinus "buff" the answer would be an apparent and resounding no, but once I accepted the quest that buff disappeared which made me wonder.
It is still pretty apparent that I cant become both at the same time though, so that is not even on the agenda. No Lycan-vamp cheese here.
