*Suggestion* True blood vampire and Alpha werewolf.

So, I was thinking about Castle Volkihar vampires in Skyrim earlier today and the vampire/werewolf lines in ESO and though "What if they expanded upon this". I did some thinking and came up with a, which I think is pretty neat, idea.

For true blood vampires, a player that is gifted with the all powerful gift of vampirism can start a quest, once they max out the vampire skill line, that allows them to join a newly formed supreme court of vampires, similar to castle volkihar, with the mother of vampires as the head vampire. After completing a very challenging quest chain that potentially involves 4 man content to pass some parts, the player vampire is gifted with being a true blood vampire and has the ability to turn into a vampire lord and gains a new skill tree specific for true blood vampires, as well as keeping the original vampire tree. If the player, for some odd reason, decides to cure themselves of the gift, if they eventually regain the vampire skill, they would need to do the quest line again to regain the trust of the mother of vampires.

For alpha werewolves, the player does something very similar to the vampire idea posted above where they hit max in the skill, join a werewolf pack, and do a very difficult story line involving heavily on being a werewolf. After they complete the story line, they meet Hircine himself at which point he will imbue the player with an increased version of lycanthropy where instead of being a grey werewolf, the player can turn into a white werewolf that is even bigger and also has access to an Alpha Werewolf skill tree. Just a suggestion for this skill tree, why not have the ultimate for alpha werewolf be the ability to transform into a werewolf, but not requiring them to build ultimate but instead just have a 2-3 minute cooldown or something along those lines.

Hope this suggestion gets read :)

in a future version...yeah, i would love that.
even if it would not be an advanced version, i would love to be more expanded versions...and more skills for the WW to fill his skillbar.

The vampirelords were a freaking abomination of lore, do not bring them back to TES series ever again.

The Volkihar Vampires are servants of Malag Bal, the enemy, I don't think they could be conceivably turned against him, thus wouldn't be viable for players.

Only if the rest of us get new toys to kill you "elite" vamps and doggies better. Otherwise everyone and their horse will be a vampire.

Extra content exclusive (by quests) for WW, Vamps and "non-infected" sounds like good idea for me, if everybody can join but only one kind will get rewarded.

WTB more active skills for werewolf/vampire trees first, 2 skills + ulti isnt enough imho,

Honestly, as a rank 10 Vampire, I feel somewhat underwhelmed, with a few exceptions, as Life Drain is excessively used (I never take it off my hotbar) and Bat Swarm with leech is just too good to pass up.

I do feel that the Werewolves are severely gimped, as they cannot even use their abilities until they have Ultimate saved up, and there is no relevant or impactful risk/reward for being in any stage of Vampirism

The ideas for additional abilities or story options would be nice.

Sadly what some people do not understand, is that in a MMO you can NOT think like a single player game. You NEED balance, if not its a dead game, where everyone and their pets select the OP option.

It looks to me sadly many people coming from the Elders Scrolls games do not understand this, they are asking for things that would be unbalanced. And also did not understand that for example how totally broken and OPed vamps were just a few weeks ago, and needed a fix/nerf. Because they think in terms of single player games, where there player IS OPed compared to anything else.

I made a post a while back, how Zenimax could redo the whole WW/vamp thing, but I guess something like this will never happen:
    http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/discussion/91726/suggestion-zenimax-how-to-make-the-whole-ww-and-vamp-thing-different-and-exciting-more-roleplay

As the game is right now, any guilds/WW/Vamp/whatever skill line can only be a flavor to the character. These skill lines can NOT be powerful, or they will totally unbalance the whole game, forcing everyone to use them or lose.

The game is already in a mess due to how Emperor bonuses works, even after the vamp nerf a Emperor is way too powerful on his own. Same goes with some skills and mechanics, they need to focus on balance or they will lose too many customers due to anger and frustration. It has already gone way too long time without proper fixing and balancing of skills and classes.

So what, people who are looking for a good story can't have nice things because of balance?

Becoming a vampire, werewolf or otherwise should be a powerful step. You are becoming a life stealer, or for a short time a savage, hulked out beast. Those are powerful things to add to a character build, and if the change didn't deliver those things then no one would bother.

Checks and balances exist. Nerfing the supernatural is an option, and buffing the fighters guild is another. Buffing fighters guild passives is something I think is quite attractive.

It's doable. It should be supported, because one day you will want nice things too, and with the right attitude it can be doable as well.

Doesn't matter. Pure-blood vampires get their gift directly from Molag Bal. They would not turn a sworn enemy of their Lord.

This should be in World Skills, not Guild Skills.

Anyways, I suggested something similar weeks ago however replace 'true blood vampire' with 'blood lines' (see here: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Vampires).

Basically you do a lengthy quest once max vampirism has been achieved and you're veteran rank 10 and ultimately decide which blood line you wish to join and in doing so gain access to more passives / spells related to the previously selected blood line. However the cost is increased weaknesses which are still pending. I think once this level of vampirism has been maxed the potential to have a 'true blood' line could be an option, given how they're arguably the most powerful. All of this is very hypothetical and probably won't happen, there are more pressing concerns currently.

In terms of lycanthropy, I feel there should be multiple strains of different animals depending on the region you're infected, with each strain being slightly different (so a werewolf is quicker compared to a more powerful werebear which can't steal life like a werebat, sort of thing). Once you've maxed the line and hit veteran rank 10 you gain access to the quest, blah blah blah, you get more power at the cost of greater weakness and all that jazz.

It's fun to discuss these things, but ultimately it's all just discussion, they need to balance classes, release content and bug fix before they would even consider upgrading vampirism / lycanthropy.

Um, why not? That's you're opinion, not actuality. Once you're given the gift/curse from Molag Bal who's to say you don't simply vanish with your new found power and reject him? The first vampire, and arguably the strongest, hates Molag Bal.. so there's that.

the problem with the werewolf depending heavily on being a werewolf..... is well ww is completely unusable. 30 second timer no damage no survivability.

That makes no sense, you say the player would be doing quests for Lamae (the mother of vampires)??
But then later have the chance to turn into the monstrosity after attaining "pure blooded" status.. you do realise that Lamae Bal cannot actually turn into one of those "Underworld Rip-off's" right???

Those laughable freaks were only added to Skyrim to appease the people who were desperate to play the WW play-style... but not as a Werewolf, example:

"Oh Bethesda!! Please give us a transformations for vampires, because I'm an entitled player who never played TES games before Skyrim & know nothing about the lore of vampires or bothered reading the in-game book "Immortal Blood"!! Please, I'll never shut up until you give my begging arse what I want!!" D:

    Bahahahahaaaaa!! XD
I'm glad Skyrim is long gone, never want to see those abominations again.
