Stamina or Speed?

I can finally afford a nice 42k horse!

I already have a basic horse as a carrier mule, and I intend my second horse to be for PvP.

What's better? Speed or Stamina? How noticeable is the difference in speed? Is it best to balance the stats? In which case which I buy doesn't matter cos the levelling will get to the same point anyway.

OR... should I save my gold and just buy a 17k common for PvP? If the starting bonus is negligible for a levelled horse...

But then what else can I spend my gold on? I have no desire to be a werewolf or vampire (HATE that concept... it wud be stupid if endgame became full of supposedly rare fantastical monsters) or see the need to craft Barbarian or some other fancy gear style...

Right now there's a bug with sprinting so speed is better. In the end I'd always go speed anyway as it's always going to help you (even when out of stamina).

Hmm... that's kinda ironic. It means that the Speed horse is better for a long journey cos of its faster basic speed, whereas a Stamina horse can go really fast for a short-ish sprint. lol

    No. He means two things:

Currently stamina is bugged on horsies - they sprint and if you keep shift pressed, they keep on sprinting, regardless of being out of stamina. Thus right now speed horses are way better since every horse can sprint indefinitely.

After the bug gets fixed for long treks speed horses are better since after the first initial run they can sprint just as much as stamina horses and their movement speed is way higher. And in pvp it's absolutely better since you want to put as much distance between you and the enemy as possible in the shortest amount of time (or when chasing you really want to catch up to someone before he gets to a safe area).

I personally wouldn't worry about mule horses as well, just go all speed with every horse.

I guess it's possible sprint is a fixed speed and isn't a modification of the base speed. In that event, I could see a use for stamina. But as I'm understanding it, the choice you have comes down to:

    1. overall move faster and sprint faster for a shorter duration.
    2. overall move slower and sprint slower for a longer duration.

Of course that's once they fix the bug. Right now sprint duration is simply how long you hold down shift.
