Dream-Walking into Darkness BUG?

Any report about Stormspire quest Dream-Walking into Darkness bugs?

I searched around but can find anything regarding it, i'm stuck at the point where ancient ghost spawns. After 2 waves of ghosts killed the quest still show "Kill Ancient Ghosts) but there are no ghosts around!

Tried to relog several times and even abandoning nd restartng it with no effect.
I'll try agai today, am i the only one having issues with this?

    Same problem here, tried zoning in and out, relogging, killing everything etc, always same result.

    Im in the same boat. Ive killed all the warriors 5+ times and no luck. Ive reset the quest, rezoned in etc

    But how do you kill the Ancient Warriors?

    Its a level 24 quest I am level 25 tank, there are too many ancient warriors in the room like 15 or 16 of them and they all come together and they are not touching anyone else in the room, they all just jump on me and kill me in less than 5 secs, I can't even cast my abilities.

    I have some NPCs with me who I am guessing are meant to help me but they just stand still and enemies are also ignoring them.

    So how did you guys get through this part? Please help!!!

    I'm a sorc and I use my AOE + Spell power increase + resistance buff + Health pot. If ya cant aoe....well then that's a problem..

    I've killed this group at least a half dozen times. The NPCs I believe are suppose to continue the encounter and open the next door (other side of the room) but they are bugged. Idk.. one time they did defend themselves and I thought it was working but after the last warrior dies they just stand there.

    I"m gonna try a few different things tonight.
    1. try to kite the warriors and let the npc kill em (if thats even possible).
    2. aggro the warriors and leave the room? (again not sure if that possible)
    3. abandon the quest and start over and try not to die on the 1st attempt. (not sure how far back it will set me in the quest chain.

    if anyone finds something different let me know..

    Ya im a little irked now. As a night blade it was pretty tough with my spec. But i was like, at last! I can put my skills to the test. I was able to do it, now standing around nothing. Really? REALLY?

    Another bug that blocks game progression. I'm really not surprised at all

    it worked. I just teleported out to city to get some repairs when I got back, everything worked fine.

    It's the Montclairs! if you die at the beginning (or i assume anytime in the encounter) and the montclairs don't continue then you'll need to reset them. Leaving the area, wayshrine etc or full log out and log in should reset that portion of the encounter.

    I managed to do it too after many resets eheheh, after that i was stuck again in Liberation of Northpoint yahoooooooooo!!!

    Having the same issue.
    The best i could get with rezoning,relogging, abandoning,retaking is that first 3 mobs advance and after a few seconds the whole bunch (except the outermost 2 on the left and the one on the right) comes in and slaughters me.

    The wave comes if any of the friendly NPC's (or myself) goes into the outer part of the starting stone ring (close to the mobs)
    In my case, this can be recreated each and every time. Thinking that something is wrong with aggro distance trigger ?

    Well, I'll wait for a possible fix , since i'm not a fan of 1k repairs for testing purposes :smiley:

    whoever made up this quest must be an *** of unbelievable proportions- IF this is how they intended things! 20+ mobs vs YOU? Anything other than mad pbaoe would fail.... Consider that maybe one in 50 might even spec for that.

    This cannot be the way it was intended.

    at lvl 26 as my nightblade I cant survive, Tried several times and the warriors just keep coming to many at a time. I get a wave of 3 then 8+ seem to come the second time around and kill me in seconds no matter what I try. The npcs are useless.

    As a nightblade the only real thing I found to work was shadowcloaking and running behind the NPCs because they'll eventually throw a heal your way, then you have to fill in the gaps with siphon and your healing potion on cd.

    I have managed to kill them all on V3 but yes it is brutal and very much a lucky draw on critical-ling enough to drop as many as possible in 4 attacks. Dragon knight Take Flight IV, BurningTalons IV, Whirling blades 2 times seemed to do the trick to drop most of them quick, then I picked off the rest. At that point nothing happens like the previous posters quest still tells me to kill the Ancient Warriors. These bugs are a fortune in game repairs they should turn that *** off till the get more quests fixed.
    P.S. the "helper" npcs don't do anything they stand there most of the time. In one of my 3 tries they attacked once then stood there useless as expected. I have seen this in many of the quest previous npcs prove to be mostly useless.

    Wow zenimax really need to get their *** together, the first post was on the 11th, its now the 20th and its still bugged. its not like they havent had any maintenance days to fix it, they have had more than enough to get it done, just done the vr3 version and died 20 times because they all rushed me at once and the npcs done nothing and when i finally get it done the quest is bugged out like wtf!! :-/

    If your having trouble try going to the side of the room and drawing out a few at a time that's what I did and it worked.

    Also got this, can't continue, i actually managed to kill this wave a few times now (Sorc, Healer + 2 pets + 3rd ultimate pet) , but nothing happening further. Did relog, rezone , all that, nothing.

    Same problem. But I solved it. I just teleported out to city then went back. You can figure out if all the mobs rush to you together, it must be bugged. Normally, three mobs come together.

    Update:
    I was able to get pass that bugged stage by dumping the quest again....3rd or 4th time and going in with another person.No bug, worked fine, apparently it is group only, Zenimax failed to mention it. My roomie managed to get to the end of the quest line to find the hand in NPC would not spawn... hence BOTTLE NECK major game breaking for anyone as this quest unlocks access to the next area of content. Without completing it he is *** outta luck after several hours or trying and dying finally getting to kill the last mob only to find a VERY COMMON bug of the NPC not being around. Now to be told to do it all over again because Zenimax released this game with out any real quality assurance on major questlines is too much. He has now cancelled the account and is letting all the people he knows in the gaming community of the poor product Zenimax charges top dollar for. This launch has been *** poor from a greedy company.

    Update: you need to restart quest and you need to kill skeletons FIRST time you enter that toom othervise quest is not working i managed to complete it ......

    The idea that these skeletons should come in waves, or that aggro should be distributed, is logical. It makes sense in terms of game realism. There's just no way that the protagonist of this dream is capable of fighting all those enemies at once - particularly with a sick character in tow - unless the other characters are meant to do something particularly spectacular.

    To me it seems like the timers on the spawners are broken; and because of proximity the mobs pull each other in a domino effect. That or they're meant to pull at once but the NPCs are supposed to share aggro; but since the NPCs don't attack, any damage you do is instead causing you to take all aggro.

    In addition to this, from what I've read I now know that dying at any point will bug up the quest in addition to the room, preventing progression even if the army is eventually killed somehow.

    In a nutshell:
    Room is broken, workaround requires a group.
    Dying breaks the Quest, workaround is abandon/relocate/relog.

    Stealth and invisibility breaks it so if you are NB change to something else.
