...Came to this revelation today.

Anyone who actually chooses out of their own free will to play a high elf has to at least be somewhat of a stuck up, arrogant, racist ass hole in real life. You literally can't argue against it, trust me.

Actually, I chose it for the magical benefits that the race gets. I am neither stuck up, arrogant, nor racist, though I can be an *** when needed. Basically, I chose that race because it was that or Breton for my Sorc and I like the pointy ears.
What is written above are my honest opinions. If you agree then; "Great!" If you disagree; "Great!" I really couldn't care less either way.

Ok, I didn't even think about that. Anyway, anyone who chooses to play as a High Elf from RP perspective, or admiration of the race from previous games.

Also, I hope since you've created your character, you've learned the error of your ways supporting an oppressive, bigoted regime.

Aight I guess I'm an *** :D def not a racist or stuck up but arrogant can fit, depending on a day :P

But I also did choose my character as a high elf cos I was making a sorcerer and wanted to max out on magicka benefits that come with the race. Not gonna regret it tho cos even with the pointy ears, she's hot and there's nothing wrong with being a bit of ***. Rather that than a pushover :D

Even with the nice racials for a magicka based build, I could not suffer to play a high elf! I hate them with a passion, everytime a npc *opens it's mouth* 3/4 of the time I virtually smack them lol. I went with Khajiit but overall I am sad my friends play AD as their main alliance, I really prefer Ebonheart Pact races. Also, I dislike the AD queen, what an insipid character her brother was 10 times better.

i thought the nords were being racist by calling my khajit a "milk drinker" (cause cats luv milk: amirite???), but after rolling a nord and playing through the same quests... i also got called a milk drinker. so i think that term is just derogatory for someone who they see as weak.

    or is it?...

The National Association for the Advancement of Cat People will hear about this, you racist nords!!! ={~.~}=

I think you are confusing the Veiled Inheritance with the rest of the normal High Elves.

The Veiled Inheritance are quite literally High Elf skin heads that believe in the superiority of the High Elf race and all other races should be purged and are unworthy.

The rest of them are pretty normal, but you will notice that all of the cultures come together and sometimes are just like "Wtf? You believe in this?"

My husband chose it because this is his first Elder Scrolls game and he doesn't have any idea what he's doing. :D

The Thalmor of the 4th era must have gotten some inspiration from The Veiled heritance, their views are almost the same.

The Altmer as a race are haughty, and selfly proclaimed superior; its not just a Thalmor or Veiled Heritance agenda. They're also incredibly xenophobic and isolationist. Its evident throughout their culture, the storyline of ESO, and the previous elder scrolls installations.

That's not to say there aren't other races that arent racist, isolationist, xenophobic, and arrogant. The Dunmer are the perfect example, and I'd argue they're the most racist and xenophobic of all the races, and personally, I didn't feel the least bit sorry for them in Skyrim (despite them being one of my favorite races).
