The skill is for closing gaps. Probably works bets in PVP for people who mainly use melee dmg. In the description it states "the play can only see the path" which means anyone you are PVPing against will not.
Yet another of the poorly implemented abilities Nightblades have. The skill is for closing gaps. Probably works bets in PVP for people who mainly use melee dmg. In the description it states "the play can only see the path" which means anyone you are PVPing against will not.
There are much, much better abilities for closing gaps, and it seems irrelevant whether others can see the "paths" (its just a rectangular shaped area of purplish mist).

Path -> Stealth -> Veiled Strike next engagement and watch the enemies run around chasing a, dare I say, shadow
Nightblade AE is fine. I learned that after respeccing my Leeching strikes to Siphoning strikes. If you are AEing packs of mobs anywhere from 4-8, not only will you deal more damage(power extraction boosts your weapon damage more per enemy, this boosts cleave, whirlwind, and impulse), but you will never run out of resources, because you have a 10% chance on all attacks(10% chance per mob you hit) to restore 15% magicka and stamina.
As far as Path of Darkness... it is weak that is for sure, but it isnt entirely useless. The healing you get when morphed isn't bad, I could see it being used in dungeons as a tankblade, or perhaps even when AE grinding as a bit of increased survival.
Definitely one of the weaker NB abilities.
