You want that exp/items/skill tree... that is all there is to it. I for one only added one skill point to each tree , to get both social perks , and then they just lvl on the background for me.
So you agree it seems forced? It there anyways reason to NOT take those bonus skills, items, skill points and experience? No? Then it's forced. Vampires and Werewolves get draw backs in exchange for more abilities and and buffs, why are guilds exempt from this?Nox_Aeterna wrote: »Nah , not really.

Indeed, one of the rewards from the mages guild questline is 2 skill points, and from the fighters guild you get an epic of your choice.I don't really care about the XP, I don't mind a slower leveling journey.
But about the skill points, does this mean I won't be able to max my character if I don't join either of them?
So if you make a rogue/assassin type character, which might not want to join either of them, you will ultimately be inferior to characters who have done them?
The game is a week old. . .what do we need more classes for? what would more classes accomplish that more skill lines wouldn't?"Play the way you want" - yeah right.
Gah.. I think I'll just wait with this game. There's just too much about the class/skills that annoys me. I want it more open - more classes, more skill lines.
Maybe (hopefully) Zenimax will change things in the future. Until then, cyall and take care!

Like any side-quest there really isn’t any reason not to do them.
