Dragonknight High Elf (Altmer) or Dark Elf (Dunmer)? (Battlemage)

Want to make a Dragonknight focused mainly around using Destruction staffs and a 2 handed sword. So basicly I would end up with a Battlemage type character.
I was thinking about going Dunmer but... would it maybe be better to go Altmer for the regen to Magicka and I would only loose 2% on Fire Damage but gain bonuses due to racial passives to the other types of Destruction staffs and spells using Ice or Shock Damage.
Also thinking the racial for Magika regen would free my character up for stacking Stam or Health regen on jewelry later on.
Thoughts?

Sihnfahl✭✭✭✭Ardent Flame DKs are fire heavy. You want more front-loaded damage (Dunmer) or more sustainability (Altmer)? The first is good for zerging... the second for longer fights.
For a long PvP fight, if you can survive, go with Altmer.0
