I love ESO, it's a fantastic game and awesome right out of the box, which is rare for new mmos. Usually they are pretty rough around the edges as they either find their niche or die off. For me ESO struck a pretty fine balance, even in beta. Let's be honest it's not perfect, but it's young yet; and it's done a pretty good job comparatively. That being said I'm looking for a guild.
Let's start with a little about me. I am a 27 year old male. I'm generally a dps in most games I play. I even own a shirt that plays off the UPS slogan, "DPS, what can I own for you today". Nine times out of ten I'm a rogue or rogue like class and I'm damn good at it. I come from WoW, been playing since closed beta recently taken a break. No I'm not one of those *** that's always picking on newbs. I'm an *** in nature but usually only if you give me a reason to be. I feel that to be a newb at anything is a right of passage, we all go through it so why give people *** for it when you were once one yourself? Why not try and help them instead? I pick on people I like, jokingly, but if something I say or do bothers you I implore you to tell me and I will try and fix it; that easy. I'm an open book, I like making new friends. I consider myself pretty intelligent, I like to read, I self study physics and majored in philosophy while going to school for IT information system security. I'm a physical security guard at the moment for Johnson Controls. As educated as I am, I like Jon snow, know nothing. There's a vast universe out there and I know the tiniest fraction of anything about anything in it. Being a learned individual does not mean that I will not make lewd comments and jokes, it does not mean I don't swear and drink like a sailor when the occasion calls for it. I like making perverted comments occasionally to men or women, despite being straight. I don't mean it, I just say it to make people laugh and have a good time and I have no problem carrying on a bromance. As long as you understand it's all in good fun we'll get along just fine.
What I'm looking for in a guild, the major points are a guild that's highly sociable, one that considers the guild family, that puts real life above a game, that is moderately active and is VoIP heavy (I perfer vent but TS3 is fine) I like to chat with my guild mates while i play even if we aren't doing anything together. I like a diverse guild, I'm looking for a guild with guys and girls, a little older or at least more on the mature side that is fun loving. I've join 3 guilds so far none of them have really "spoke" to me as a home. What we do isn't so much important, I'd LIKE to do pve end game content down the road, maybe a little foray into pvp, but mostly If we just do dungeons together, help each other out, at least some raiding that'd be cool. I want a laid back guild! When I say that here's an example, in one of the guilds I'm in I was talking to a guildie and she said "When you get there if you still need help finding just group me and I'll come show you" to which I said jokingly "What? you want me to grope you?" There were a few laugh and we moved on with the conversation. Apparently in this guild this was a super serious offense that warranted officers having a chat with me and this being my first strike. I want a guild that can take a joke like that in stride without batting an eye lash.
