ESO Toolbox: Access Hidden Settings

Over the last weeks, there've been quite a few players with different issues, like the infamous "freeze every few minutes for a few seconds".

While there have been workarounds in the wild to edit the game's UserSettings.txt by hand, this isn't really practical and many aren't savy enough to edit the file or simply don't want to do it.

For those I've create the ESO Toolbox.

This is actually a rather simple and small addon that will extend the game's Settings menu with a new page offering you some advanced settings that aren't exposed to you by default.

Two popular examples would be the possibility to select a different rendering engine (like OpenGL rather than DirectX) or disabling multithreading for lower end CPUs.

Please keep in mind that some settings won't take effect unless you restart the game client (or enter another zone in some cases).

Let me know in case there's any setting you're miss; I've got an updated version with some more graphics settings (transparency settings, some shader settings, etc.), but that one isn't uploaded yet.

    Wow, very nice!
When I get back some, I might try this out.
Thanks for supplying it to the community!

Awesome. Is it also on ESOUI? (you're missing out on a huge community if it isn't). I'll check this out when I get home.

What's hilarious here is that an addon like this is even necessary in the first place.

I've registered on ESOUI, but haven't had time to dig into their TOS/conditions and the whole process. Doing that later today.

FYI: Getting 3x to 4x the download rate via ESOUI now that they have Minion than I am on Curse. For whatever that's worth. Also a better user community overall, imo, and they aren't as friggin slow to update/approve.

Updated my initial post. Never had issues with Curse though. :)

I've updated my addons on Curse and had it take 5 days to show for download. Meanwhile on ESOUI it takes minutes no matter what time of day, usually (longest was 3 hours)

There's also a matter of 16k downloads on Curse versus 97k on ESOUI for the same addon. Curse is not leading the pack for ESO addons.

Wonderful Add-On! The game is actually playable now. I guess my Graphics Card is kinda cheap and DX11 was kicking it's butt! I swapped down to DX9 and it's been smooth sailing ever since. This is my first comment on the forums and it is well deserved! thank you so much for making these settings accessible to the common man. Major fail on Zenimax's part for not including this in their settings.

also using 3 of Wykkyd's add ons and they add so much functionality and allow me to be more efficient in my play time. my hats off to both of you!
