Hi,

First off, I'd like to compliment the magnicifent look of the dungeons and the music in them. I'm oooh'ing and aah'ing all over the place,

I love playing mm'os because I like having to group with others to overcome obstacles I can not do alone and the interaction that requires. That and the occasional chitchat is really enjoyful for me.

However, when I enter a dungeon (having been sent on a dangerous mission) and I can go from beginning to end without ever having to defeat a monster because I'm there with 20+ others (who are not in my group) who have killed them all, only to get to the boss whom i can defeat by tossing out a single heal to the 10 people camping him, that ruins the fun, which really is a shame.

The above is CherevOpinion (trademark, copyright etc. etc.)

But wow, what a gorgeous game.

Cheers,

Hey, just wanted to give this post some attention. For me also, this is the worst part of the game... Too many people in these open dungeons. I can be running around outside, only seeing a person here or there, but step into a dungeon and I am swarmed by huge crowds, and there is inevitably a group sitting at the boss either waiting for it to spawn, or on the other end of the spectrum, slaughtering and farming it if it spawns too fast.

Zenimax, please allow more instances for each cave/dungeon to spread the population out! I think we need triple or quadruple the number of instances to make the population more palatable.

I'm not sure if it's the worst part of the game for me (I might put the whole chest experience in all the dungeons at that), but it's pretty terrible. Regularly you walk around, there's nothing there. There's little to no immersion because it's a ghost town until suddenly a respawn cycle comes in and mobs spawn right next to you and start attacking. Higher levels also regularly run through, training chunks of mobs into you.

Public dungeons are basically Everquest 1. Every single one is Blackburrow where people are standing around waiting to tag a named mob, while the rest of the area is a painfully random and irrational experience.

I'm OK with the concept of not having fully instanced dungeons, but the occupancy of that dungeon needs to be limited to what it would be if it were instanced. Because right now dungeons consist of the following:
    1. Walk down tot he skyshard and click it. Maybe deal with a random respawn on the way.
    2. Walk around till you see a group of people and wait around to see if a named monster shows up. Kill it, see if you get an achievement
    3. Walk or port out.

There's been some dungeons that I hadn't even seen some of the trash mobs until my third character through it.

It would be great if the regular zones were like the adventure zones: with dungeons and interest points instanced to you or your group only.
