how do you get crit?

How is it possible to get to crit stat without putting the crit trait in your weapon to have the crit stat.
There is an ability that requires crit to make a powerful heal and i cant seem to find any other way to increase crit.

Im a imperial sorcerer btw.

Then do without or chain use potions when you need it; you don't get crit from heavy armour.
