Exploration Achievement Help

So, I'm looking to do the exploration achievements. Specifically I'm running around Glenumbra at the moment trying to complete the area towards the achievement for A Bandit's Heart (Extort money from merchants) and Golden Palms (Give beggars some money).

I don't want to know where the people are to do the achievement, but I would like to know if there are more than one, or if the achievement is currently bugged (if anyone knows for sure). I've found one merchant in Glenumbra that I extorted money from, as well as one beggar I gave money to. Glenumbra is not highlighted, or showing as complete, on my progress towards the achievement, however.

So the question is, are there multiple NPC's to find in each zone for these achievements, or is it bugged in such a way that it's just not giving me credit?

I'm staring to work on the Golden Palms achievement, but can't find the beggar(s) in Auridon. I have similar questions: are there multiple NPCs throughout the area or one per town? I wouldn't mind knowing where the NPC is for Auridon so I at least know what I'm working with lol

I can confirm there are multiple NPCs.. but I can't say how many, or if you for sure need all of them to get the achievement (as I don't know how many). I've found two beggars in Glenumbra and gave them each gold. It didn't check off Glenumbra as finished for the achievement though. So either there are more and you have to get all of them, or it's bugged in the same way the fishing one doesn't give credit for rare catches.

Are the beggars a random instance NPC or are they permanent to the town?

I found the beggars easy to find if you walk around instead of use a horse, as you can hear them beg for a coin when your close.

I found 3 per city so far and they walk around and are always up (permanent) but they walk in a small 2 block circle, (but this can include off the path places). After paying 5 different beggars I got the achievement. There dialog are funny tho, it appears most beggars just want gold for booze or dancing girls. (like normal beggars I guess)

Sorry peasants, I cannot hear you beg over the sound of my Imperial horse's hooves as I ride swiftly by!

Thanks for letting me know! I'll continue my quest to find the beggars. So far I've found 2 in one of the cities, but none in others. I didn't realize they patrolled either. The two I found are pretty much always in the same spot.

Did have one additional question. When you say cities, are you just talking big cities like Daggerfall and Wayrest, or some of the cities you come across/save that are smaller?

Oh my. I feel like a noob. So I just now noticed that when you intimidate one of the merchants, they drop a pack on the floor for you to loot. Looted the pack from one of the merchants in Stormhaven and I got credit for Stormhaven towards the achievement. So for the merchants, you may just have to find one and I was doing it wrong.

For beggars it does look like multiple, as I was definitely giving the first few I found gold.

New update. So for the beggars achievement, just like with the merchants. There are some beggars that spawn randomly along the roads as you're walking around. If you give money to one of those beggars it seems to fulfill the requirement of the achievement. Unless there were only 3 beggars in Glenumbra total (including the random one that spawned in the wilderness).

How much gold (on average) do you give each beggar?

I came across one on the road who claimed to have been robbed by thieves and I got the option to give him gold or find the thieves. Didn't realize giving him gold would count towards the Golden Palms achievement...hope he respawns lol

Haven't played much in the past couple days so will definitely have to get online after work and check all this out!

The gold always seems to be less that 50g. The beggars for the achievement won't tell you to go kill thieves though (at least none of the ones I've seen do). They seem to spawn in the same spots as the merchants, and the keepers of the flame people. So if you wait around long enough in one spot, eventually you can get all three.

Edited to add: Nevermind! I found one that said thieves stole his gold. So you likely did fine one of the Golden Palms achievement guys.
