Nightblade Invisibility

I am having an issue with the shadow cloak (shadowy disguise morph), where sometimes it will work fine, but other times I will go invisible for a split second and pop right back up again. This happens in both PVP and PVE.

Could it be that Damage Over Time(dots) effects will remove you from stealth?
Haven't played a nightblade that far yet, but it's usually the case.

I don't think so, as it can happen sometimes as I tun into a battle as well.
I have found that holding the command and then releasing when I want to use it solves the issue, but it's a bit of an inconvenience in a crunch. Also, I would still like to know why it does it sometimes and not others.

If you run into an AoE effect, that can knock it off as well, and you may not see them, since they aren't always accompanied by a rain of fire from the heavens.

May I ask please, how you can achive permanent invisibility with a Nightblade?

There is no permament invisibility.
This cloak is already extremly powerful if used right.

Edit: Use the cloak... wait two seconds and hit it again. This way you will be invisible as long to dont run out of magica. It´s not what you asked for but the best you can get.

I found it extermely usefull in combination with sneaking. If i sneak past some mobs and almost get detected (when i think they will) i hit shadow. Then i can sneak further. Those 2.5 seconds can be a live saver when sneaking past a group of 4-5 mobs.

Are you accidentally double-tapping the command? That could do it.

It has seemed to me that if you sprint while invisible it takes you out of it. Not 100% sure thats correct but something that seems to happen to me

Are you accidentally double-tapping the command? That could do it.

Nah, if I double tap it, that will still leave me invisible, just eat another chunk of magicka.
The thing is, If I go around just killing the same thing over and over again, it's about a 60% chance that it works properly and 40% that it doesn't. It gets very frustrating because sometimes I end up dying against the most stupid monsters, when I've killed the same ones easily a hundred times before.

so glad someone else is having this problem too!

Troubles me a lot as the stun from a surprise attack out of shadowy disguise is normally the means via which i deal with multiple mobs at once.

When shadowy disguise cancels itself before the surprise attack gets off? That's a shed load of mana spent on a weak attack with zero cc.

I've found no rhyme nor reason as to why the ability fails sometimes but not others...

Sprinting will remove the effect.

Welcome to night blade..some times some skills bug out..leaping strike for example does the animation and breaks stealth but your still sitting there like a derp lol.

Yep...it's the Derpblade class. All borked up. Hopefully get's some much needed lov'in.

When there's a lot going on I notice every skill has problems firing at times. So it's probably part of a larger problem. Could be game lag or animations having problems, don't know for sure.

Not likely, this even happens against mudcrabs sometimes, which don't have anything like that.

I have found out some things though...

If I have been snared by any means, I cannot go Invisible, also if I go invisible as a projectile is coming my way, it will pull me back out of invisibility.

I am still having the same buggy problem though where I will go invisible and pop straight back up for no reason. Because of this, I have leaned away from using the shadow cloak/veiled strike combo. Only problem with that is it's the best possible combo

I've noticed that I'm still visible sometimes, but the enemies think I'm invisible, i.e. they sit there doing nothing. Just another aspect of the bug I thought I'd mention.
