Group Dungeon Chests (Suggestion)

Ok having chests limited to one person in a group dungeon is absurd, there's a chance that you won't even get good loot from bosses at the moment and chests seem to be the best way for loot. By having only one player able to loot the chest players will often not help out in fights just so they can get the chest first. This is therefore causing strife between players in the group and making it a much less enjoyable experience when you are working your arse off in a group and someone who is doing nothing is getting the loot.

To fix this there needs to either be no chests and better loot from mobs or make it so that the chests when unlocked can then be opened by everyone in the group so that everyone gets to loot that one chest.

I guess i'll use this as a petition so say whether you agree below.

    I agree, there should be at least a need/greed window every time someone loots a chest or contained that has green quality loot or above.

    Not sure how Zenimax didn't foresee this situation.

    Agreed. Tired of guys who *** around searching for chests instead of doing their job in group. Also, some times there are better loot on chests than from bosses.
    Yesterday me and my friend run thru all 3 of 4 group dungeons (dont remember their names, but they are oriented on lvl 20-25 players, one of them located in Grahtwood). We barely looted few green crap and not a single blues from all 3 dungeons (9-12 bosses). At the same time, our chest hunter namaged to loot quite alot of nice items from chests.

    So, where am i?
    Oh yes, chests should have loot for every1 like mobs do, or somekind of WoW system when every1 can see whats inside and roll for some items if they need.

    Hello everybody,

    I'd like to share some of my own idea's and thoughts that can create a better game in my opinion.

    1. For dungeons/future raids there should be a rolling system for items. It's way more fun to roll and get your items like that. Also more fair because when there is a chest in a dungeon, the first one who will open it can grab the loot. Now if your with a guild you can ask if somebody else needs the item but if you are doing it solo with random people, some people will not ask and keep it themselves. It will become a race for chests.
    2. Show damage done,taken and healing numbers. I know there is a addon for this but it's kinda sloppy in my opinion and could be a lot better. If Eso could make this it would be much more of an MMO style game and please a lot of players. And for those who don't want it i should say, make it optional.
    3. A minimap would be great with some marks on it( for example quests).
    4. Add the item slot : cloak. Cloaks are great and look bad ass! Would love to see that!
    5. Change the chat for guilds in /g1 /g2 etc instead of /guild1 etc. /p is the same as /g for group at the moment. Would be easier to chat like that. Also , show guild notifications in the chat for example: ..... has joined the guild, a messege of the day, a notification that players get promoted or demoted in the guildranks.
    6. Show ingame names in the guild and not account names. It removes the atmoshpere of epic names.
    7. Make dungeons 5 man. More players more fun!

    These are my idea's to improve the game. Let me know if you like them, or see them differently, or share your own idea's!

    Agreed, please introduce a rolling (need/greed/cancel etc) system and deal all loot through that. The current system is ridiculous.

    I don't like having chests instanced because it gives you too much of a disconnected feel from those around you. However, there definitely needs to be a roll / pass or need / greed / pass mechanic for chests in a Dungeon. Open-world chests however are every-man-for-himself IMO.

    I find the chests quite annoying. Some players either lag far behind making the rest wait on him, making the run take longer, some players run off to loot chests during fights giving me a larger chance to die. As a Tank I usually have a repair bill at around 1000g at lvl 28 after a few deaths, so if someone dosen't do their job and I die either just me or entire team it realy get on my nerve, after all it's not just the loot they ninja, it also hits me on my budget.

    With that high repair costs and not so much return from loot/chests then there is a limit to how many times I can be bothered to run dungeons. It certinly was at the 20-23 range. The one dungeon with the harder end boss I only did one time, after I had got the skillpoint it was never again, repair bill was simply too big.

    I like the instanced loot from bosses,sadly bosses wont drop as much loot as chests making chests more important.Make boss loot more important than chests.Add roll only for chests or, i gave this suggestion in another thread:

    Another idea that just came to mind for chests.I normally run dungeons with friends so we focus on finishing the instance and when done we go on a free for all chest grabbing which is actually a lot of fun as you see players running like crazy trying to pick the most chests but all of that after the instance is finished.So I suggest that all chests only spawn when the instance is completed maybe even giving some kind of screen message.I find this to be a good solution,chests spawn when instance completed.

    Of course i feel all this chest solutions should be implemented after bosses loot become more important,that by making them drop loot more often,most of the time they just drop shards.

    since its a themepark game the chest system is not optimal, but in my perfect World of elder scroll its just fine, even killing other players for it would be ok in my eyes :)

    I completed the3x lvl 28-30 dungeons yesterday at 28. Today at lvl 30 I decided to give the dungeons a rerun for fun and loot.

    Over half way in we were doing great, then suddenly at the third last boss this one guy started to die, on trash, last second on boss etc. Instead of using a shard to resurect he started again at the beginning of the dungeon, and you could see him on map going into every corner of every boss room looting and whatnot, at one point it took him 10 minutes to return to the team, partly just waiting for him at the boss partly clearing trash, this continued 2 more times.

    After we had killed last boss everyone just left team, no GG, Thx or anything just poof, everyone was just happy it was over and collected their skillpoint.

    To me this lootsystem is a dealbreaker, the only reason I'm still playing is that the game is new and I have a small hope they can sort it out, and second I want to see most of the dungeon mechanics, atleast a few veteran dungeons to get a idea how they work.

    If the game is not sorted by then, I'll be happy to hit the uninstal button, because the dungeons are not that enjoyable with this loot system.
