Maintenance for the week of October 5:
• [COMPLETE] ESO Store and Account System for maintenance – October 8, 8:00AM EDT (12:00 UTC) – 12:00PM EDT (16:00 UTC)
Originally bought the digital standard edition, then upgraded to Imperial because I wanted the option to play as an Imperial. I rarely use the horse though. I prefer digital to physical because I don't need anymore clutter. That being said, I did buy the Elder Scrolls box set that came out recently.
Digital Imperial. Reason 1: Oblivion was my first ES game and I always played an Imperial. Reason 2: I was in Beta, so it was already on my computer and thought it would be easier to go digital, no need for more collector edition niknaks.
Blessed are those who explore the unbeaten path...
1. Standard.
2. Digital.
3. Standard because of philosophical reasons. I don't agree with a sub game putting an entire race behind a paywall. It probably helps that I have NO interest in playing an Imperial myself. Digital because I am a fundamentally lazy person, and download is more convenient than running to the store.
I am Queen of Typos. If you don't see "Edited by BlackSparrow" above this line, please assume my account has been taken over by scamps and react accordingly.
My Girls:
"Elsweyr, yay or nay?"
Nephikah the Houseless, dunmer assassin: "If circumstances try to drive me there, maybe. Right now, it just sounds like a lot of sand in my boots." Swum-Many-Waters, elderly argonian healer: "The simple thought of it dries my scales. I ventured into Elsweyr long ago, but I may be getting too old to make the journey again." Silh'ki, khajiit warrior-chef: "This one looks forward to seeing her home sands again. Perhaps she will make her home village many fish sticks!" Peregrine Huntress, bosmer hunter: "I could do much with a good dragon hide." Lorenyawe, altmer mechanist: "I see little need to muck about some ancient tomb. Too much work to do elsewhere. No, that was not an intentional pun." Lorelai Magpie, breton thief: "Stealing from the Ban Daar is always a fun challenge. Sometimes, they steal their stuff back!" Rasheda the Burning Heart, redguard knight: "While I try to stay at Swum-Many-Waters' side, the whispers of an undead threat worry me." Hex-Eye Azabi, khajiit daedric priestess: "Perhaps. The lady Mephala spins many webs, and I can see there being benefit in sending me into the path of an undead invasion." Yngva Stormhammer, nord bandit (reformed...ish): "I hear there will be dragons. I would be a disappointment to my Nord heritage if I did not try to slay them." Madam Argentia, dunmer aristocrat: "I have little desire to waltz across the desert for weeks at a time. It's terrible for the complexion." Mazie gra-Bolga, orc scout: "Uh... I'm kinda busy up in Wrothgar, sorry!" Felicia the Wanderer, imperial witch-for-hire: "The Khajiit usually throw some nice contracts my way. I'm sure Jimila will have something that will take me there." Calico Jaka-dra, retired khajiit pirate: "This one is happy to check back on her homeland after grand adventures drew her away! Let the kittens call her -dra instead of -daro now!" Shimmerbeam, blind altmer psijic: "My lady Meridia does detest the undead. I may need to sneak out on my duties on Artaeum to address it."
I purchased the standard, and bought a horse from the store for $15. worked out cheap for me.. However I still downloaded the game as installing from the cd's would always crash and random points.
1. Imperial Edition
2. Digital from the Website.
3. Because I've been burned on physical collector's editions, and end up hating the game within a month or two after launch I didn't want to have the stuff cluttering up my house again. Also digital seemed like the perfect option for me, no physical stuff to worry about, and all the digital in game items, plus the pre-order bonuses. The only thing I would like from the physical edition is the book and I can probably find one of those eventually on ebay or the used book store.
1.Standard pre-order
2.Digital
3. Standard because I am a poor student, I dislike the concept of horse armors and I play Dunmer. Digital since the last few games that I bought physical copies still required me to do a huge client download which is the only reason would go for physical copies.
I feel very nonconformist on my brown horse at the moment.
Digital standard. I never really played Imperial race on any other Elder Scroll games.
Why? I don't want to wait for it to be mailed to me. I don't trust the mail when it comes to stuff like that.
1. Imperial
2. Physical- I updated the beta client so haven't had to use my discs.
3. I didn't get the Skyrim CE and regretted it once I saw the art book. So I got this one for the book (and it helped that it was a better price than the Skyrim CE).
I found the physical copy close to the last minute at GameStop and if I ordered in-store, shipping was free. It arrived after April 4th but I got most bonuses, except the maps and scuttler pet, with a receipt code. The horse was already on the account. So kind of a hybrid of digital and physical experience at first.
I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night. -Sarah Williams @Aricle in-game. Ebonheart Pact with a dash of Aldmeri and Daggerfall.
Because all I really wanted was early access. Well, and to play the game, of course.
I am not spending a single penny on the game until changes are made to the game that I want to see.
1) Remove having to be in a guild to sell items to other players at a kiosk.
2) Cosmetic modding for armor and clothing.
3) Difficulty slider.
4) Fully customizable player housing that isn't tied to anything in the game other than having the correct resources and enough gold to build. Don't tie it to PvP, guild membership, or anything at all. Oh, make it instanced so as not to take up world map space, too.Zeni screwed this one up already.
Any /one/ of these things implemented would get me spending again, maybe even subbing.
1. Imperial
2. Digital directly from the web page. Have not bought a PC box version for years.
3. I was going to pre-order anyways and there was still enough room in my monthly gaming budget to upgrade.
