How to get to Eastmarch without questing

Dear Community,

I am playing my character without questing (except the main quests). Now I am level 31 and want to go to Eastmarch.
After asking a few other players, they told me that they where teleported after finishing the shadowfen main quest.
Does that mean, I have to do all the quest in the Shadowfen area to get to Eastmarch!? Or is there another way?

Maybe someone can help me.

You can also try running really-really fast. That will get you places

I was wondering the same thing. Spent a fair amount of the day yesterday exploring Shadowfen, and never found a place that led to Eastmarch.

Group up with someone in Eastmarch. Teleport to their location. Profit!

I've entered Windhelm solo at lvl 16 :) First you have to unlock fort Virak in Stonefalls (did it through questing, don't know if you can do this without it), then go to the Rift. Run to the north, stick to the roads and carefully avoid mobs if you are underleveled. You can enter the gate from Rift to Eastmarch freely, no quests involved.
  • ariella321
Thanks! I'll give that a try tonight.

You can also go around the fort, if you go right.

Tried going around the fort to the right, you can't. Because you have to get on the bridge and its too high. The only way in is to be teleported to Eastmarch via the main questline or do the Fort Virak quest to open the way.

You follow the advice of the Rooftop Singers, and simply "walk right in".

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SQD1Jsj1d3w

The access road is north of Shor's Stone.

Reaper's March is the only zone in One Tamriel that you need to complete a quest to access.

You don't need to do any quests to get anywhere. Find a boat that travels to The Rift. Ride north from Riften and you will eventually travel into Eastmarch.

Or, you can boat hop until you find a boat that goes to Eastmarch. Boats will take you anywhere in the game except Cyrodil, CWC, and Coldharbour.

Also, you can do the same with Reaper's March. You do not have to complete a quest to access it. You can find the gate from Malabal Tor to Reapers march in the Baandari Trading Post.

Made a mistake, there is a way to ride up a slope around the fort :open_mouth: . BUT you never used to be able to boat anywhere, that was a change they made...

    1. open ur guild window, check if someone is in Eastmarch now and port to him by RMB menu.
    2. if noone is in there - ask someone to port and use 1 step again.
I will show you fear in a handfull of dust.

Besides the necro, this is false, you *can* walk around the fort!

Go around the right side, walk under the bridge and you can get up and on the path behind the bridge and just walk straight to the next zone.

No need to do the quest.

Just use the Navigators, look for the Anchor or Wagon icons in the main city or the ports for any zone. They will get you from zone to zone with no teleporting. You can even cross alliances with them.
