Does anyone here know the secret to controlling the map, more specifically zooming out from towns and zooming out in to the world?

Mousewheel to zoom in and out, use right click to zoom-out by "area".

Omg thank you so much, why on earth is something like this so cryptic, some kind of indication in game would of helped.
