If you mean this set, then there should be a Veteran Rank 1 version later on (judging from the trends of other sets). You CANNOT craft that bonus. Dropped Sets have different bonuses from crafted ones. You have to pick which you want. You CAN, however, upgrade dropped sets with Tempers and Tanners.

    Cas
Do the Vet 1 sets have a Vet 10 equivalent, or is that as high as they go?
Not absolutely positive yet, but I'm leaning toward no. Sets that drop at let's say 15-23 levels drop again at V1, 21-28 Sets drop again at V2. So I'm going to guess if that trend continues then they won't. However, if they keep increasing the Veteran Level Cap, at some point they may do just that to mix it up.

Can someone explain to me how this works? I mean do you first have to find armor with these "set bonus'", and research them in order to craft your own stuff with this on them?
Or do you simply learn anything, and once you have learned anything say "required 6 traits", you unlock the set at the emplacement you mention?
    Please reply, thanks :)

How it works is you have to Research Traits in order to craft these set bonuses. Then you have to find the special crafting stations around Tamriel, thus the maps, and craft the sets there. The further you progress into the game, the more powerful these crafted sets become, but you need to have more traits researched in order to make them. The trait requirement is "per piece", so if it takes 6 traits per piece and you need 3 pieces, that's something like a month's time of research to make 3 pieces. If the set has a 5 piece bonus then you'll have to tack on another 2 pieces with 6 traits researched. Best start researching now, some have 8 traits required!!

The web page seems to miss a horizontal scroll bar to see the graphics in case we use half a screen to display it.

Great resource, though. Thanks for the time spent.

One quick question. lets say I am going to craft one of the sets at one of the special locations. I am guessing that the "Special Location' trait is the trait being place on the items which means I can't add one of my own researched traits to that item?

Special locations are just the areas where you can craft the unique item sets. You can add your own trait during construction.

These sets are crafting-only set bonuses. You can add whichever trait you have researched and are able to add to that piece and they are a separate component.

I've been working a lot on the page the last couple of days to make it more friendly on smaller screens (you may have noticed it change a few times). I'd be more than happy to take suggestions on how to make it even more so.

P.S. To all those who said thank you, you are very welcome

Can you stack the 3 set bonus addons with same sets, different sets?

I saw this and was about to say, that's not new, I have been using this for a while, then I looked at the date you posted it lol.
Thanks for this, one reference as an avid crafter I have book marked.

One thing I would say, they claimed crafting was best gear, some of the sets are quite crap compared to dropped sets, and when you can upgrade them to legendary, technically crafting isn't superior, it just means you can make higher level.

Dissapointed you can't reverse engineer gear you find and learn that set bonus for that piece, then once you had done it with enough pieces you could craft that set also.

Same set, no. Different sets, yes. For example, I currently have 3 crafted and 1 dropped set bonuses equipped.

Can any1 help me find Orgnum's Scales craft station ? I searched everything inside Earth Forge and found only Kagrenac's Hope.

Also, can some1 confirm that they removed all the 3 items bonuses from sets which have 2 levels of bonus (3 and 5 items ) or it is just client side bug ?

Orgnum's Scales is just before the Earth Forge, or so I've heard. Also, I literally just saw a set, Hunding's Rage I think it was, just before the server went down that (3) & (5) piece bonuses.

When the server comes back up I'll get the exact specifics, if they aren't posted here before then...

P.S. Also being told it's the first door on the left before the hallway on the way to the Earthforge.

    1) You must satisfy the number of traits for a given piece of armor. For example, Ashen Grip is a 2 trait set...to craft a Hammer of Ashen Grip, you'd need to have researched 2 traits (any, doesn't matter which). So unless you have 2 traits unlocked for all items (which probably no one does yet) you will be limited in what items you can craft there.

    2) The set bonus is for any combination. You can craft any wood, cloth, leather, or metal item at the station. As long as you have 3 (or 5) equipped, the bonuses will apply to your character. Because of this you can actually have several active sets on one character at one time.

    3) The sets do not change looks. It will look like whatever motif you craft it as. And will be affected by the same variables (quality, level, ect).

    4) Make sure you are crafting it as a SET item...all the custom stations will allow you to craft "normal" items as well. If it does not say "Hammer of Ashen Grip" in the description it means you crafted it as a "normal" item by accident.

    5) You can apply a trait if you want. Or not. If you do apply a trait, it will stack on top of the set bonuses. A Hammer of Ashen Grip that is Infused will always be infused, even if it is the only Ashen Grip piece you have equipped. Set bonuses are in ADDITION to the level/Trait/Quality bonuses of the item. If you craft a Sword of Ashen Grip that is an Infused level 26 sword of superior quality, it will always be an Infused level 26 sword of superior quality, even if equipped all by itself.

Just to clarify on the lack of a 3 piece bonus on some of these like the example of Hunding's Rage, a level one set will not have the 3 piece +stamina recovery bonus BUTT the level four set will. It will be a stamina recovery value of 1. This part of the set bonus scales. A VR 9 or 10 set will have a 3 part set bonus of stamina recovery 13.

I was about 20 minutes away from completing research for the three part bonus of the set, ran out to the crafting table and looked at the lv1 version like WHAT?! CHANGED?! Noooooooooo..oh wait. ok. Flipping out there for a moment haha.

It is also appears that this set now require all 8 traits to be researched, not 5.

Which of course means you can have it yet...since the game has not been out long enough to have researched 8 traits.

Even with the 20% research time deduction, a minimum of 51 days is needed to research all 8 traits on a single item. Today is roughly the 41st day of release so we have another 10 days before the first of these items can be crafted. I have three items that will finish their seventh trait in the next couple of days but two of them are weapons so I still have several more weeks before I can craft an eight piece set that gives me a bonus. That eighth trait requires over 25 days to complete, provided you can find an item with that elusive last couple of traits.
