Hi, PlayStation user here.
Reporting bugs on console is almost pointless. The in‑game text box simply doesn’t give us enough characters to properly describe:
- The bug
- What occurred
- Environmental factors
- Steps to reproduce
- What the player did that fixed it
And then, after all that, the screenshot attachment doesn’t even attach
You get a “thank you” message, and your report goes into the void with no context.
Recent bugs I’ve tried to report on PlayStation
- 1. Joseline/Kira quest loop
I had enough space to report this only because I framed it as a question instead of a factual bug:
“Why do I pull a quest from Joseline’s board, turn it in to Kira, then pull from Kira to give to Joseline?”- 2. Wayrest – Bloodthorn Assassin – Roy’s Note
This one took a dozen rewrites because I kept running out of characters.
The prompt said screenshots were allowed; the UI said they weren’t.
Trying to explain the issue was a nightmare:
- I was on an old alt doing zone guide quests
- The map marker insisted on showing me Roy’s body instead of the Tailor
- The Tailor NPC refused to interact no matter the angle
Turning off the zone guide suddenly made the marker move and reveal the correct Tailor
My final bug report ended up as a cryptic haiku:
“Quest via map guide broke. Wayrest. Bloodthorn Assassin. Roy’s note. Tailor doesn’t ID unless map guide toggled off.”- 3. Daily Runners – “Gather or Make Cheese”
This one is my favourite because even reading my own report days later, I had no idea what I meant.
The quest says: “Gather or make cheese.”
Here’s what actually happened:
- Couldn’t interact with cheese stacks
- Pulled cheese from craft bag — nothing
- Tried giants — nothing
- Looted kitchens and taverns — nothing
- Tried cheese sources near the quest giver — nothing
Next day: daily writ for Fruity Cheese Plate
Turns out the quest never required collecting or making cheese at all — only
using cheese in a meal
My report ended up as:
“Gather or make cheese. No collecting cheese from stacks works.”
My point
The game is bugged.
Your QA/UAT policy is terrible.
Your in‑game bug reporting system is awful.
And reading other posts —
like this one — shows it’s not just me.
Proposal
If you’re willing to lie to my job coach and tell her I’m doing voluntary community work, I’ll happily head up your QA/UAT division. But I need to work from home, always, no exceptions.
Jokes aside:
Please give console players more character space to report issues in‑game.
We can’t help you fix the game if we can’t even describe what’s broken.
