I am one month into this game, and I have to ask if what I am experiencing is normal for this game. I am on a xbox series x and the elite 2 controller and game-pass.
The loading times are minimum 8 seconds on almost everything, whether it's a door or a portal or dreamsequence. Often it is longer.
So far especially 2 zone stories has been horrible, West Weald and Stonefalls. In Stonefalls there was a lot of nothing happening, when lightening the braziers, when Mavos should do something, when binding Balreth and Sadal. In delves the npcs just stood still and did nothing. And I guess due to the games age, it gets a bit tirering running notrh to do something and just have to kill 40 npcs, to have to run back killing the same npcs again - but that is just me. You can either like the game for it's quests or not.
In West Weald, but also generally, I can't find a better word than interference to describe the game. It is perhaps a bit complicated and I have tried other categories for help.
My spammable is Crystal Fragments, and I can understand that it can be difficult because of the casting time, but it is like it has it's own life. I am level 50 / 60 and I have been lightweaving from the beginning. Perhaps I am not very good at it and I have also searched for possible problems using the Xbox elite controller and sticky buttons, but i can'n narrow down what is causing the problem.
Sometimes it works perfect and just cancels the light attack within milliseconds
Sometimes it starts to do like a heavy attack and then takes a second or so to react to the lightweaving again
Sometimes it is just rubbish and half working, like if it is on a parallel timeline than the game and the suddenly the npc goes into dying animation
i have also experienced problmes i boss fights, when there is a lot going on with shock damage, flame damage and glass and shattering glass. It is like 20 years ago when the games were so hardware independent.
I must admit that I find a lot not to like about this game, but it is terrible when almost every fight that is supposed to be fun and challenging is erratic and "malfunctioning"
