Control of my mouse?

When I'm playing and I suddenly need to click on the chat window or something, is there a key that will give me control of the mouse and stop moving my character? I remember Tera had like the Control or Alt key that would give you control of the mouse if you held it down. Right now all I can do is hit Inventory or something which is kind of annoying. Thanks
