The Light Fantastic Quest

Does anyone know how to get through "The Light Fantastic" quest in deshaan? I'm not sure how to align the prisms and emitters and everytime I get somewhere someone else comes in and ruins it.

Make an S shape. It takes time for the beams to update but they rotate with each click.

Yeah I figured it out a couple days back. Each time you activate the emitter it rotates a quarter clockwise. As long as you know that you'll be able to figure it out pretty easily.

I've also found if you use /reloadui after clicking it, you'll see the laser as it currently is. I actually needed to do this before the quest would update for me once I solved it (couldn't click door before i reloaded).

I'am having difficulty with this, when I go up to the prism's to select, I have no option to select. I've gone back several times and still the same.

I have the the same problem, have logged out, soft reset and abandoned but doesn't fix it. This is on Vet level

Just had the same problem on Vet level. Found out that i needed to come out of 1st person and go third and then align my crosshairs just under the jewel and i got the prism action key. Hope this helps anyone stuck.

Broken for me too, and none of the above fixes work either (in fact /reloadui rather annoyingly reloads with me facing in the opposite direction from where I started every time, meaning I can't even see the prism let alone the selection option).

Logging a bug report for it...

I just came onto this quest myself. It is bugged still. The code that allows you to interact with the prism to change their direction are not working at all. reloadui, a change in view, logging in and out are all not working to fix this.

When I did it in Vet it did work before the last major update.

Update: I had to abandon the quest... restart it.. then also be in third person view and it took a while but it is a tiny little area that moves that you can just barely find in order to turn the prism. It is a huge pain in the butt.

This quest is working but you have to zoom out in 3rd person all the way. Then you can interact with the crystals.

I can interact with the crystals when in 3rd person, but am unable to see the beam of light at all so I have no idea where it's pointing.

I dropped my graphics (video in menu) to be able to see light beam. It must be a glitch in post processing or other "pretty's" setting.

Solve the problem! All you need is LOVE sit down on postament with crystal in 1st person view and look on bottom of crystal.

I dropped the graphics, but I still can't see the beam. I can interact with the prisms, but that doesn't help much if I can't actually see the beam.

Anyone has any solutions?

I can see the prism rotate, but i can't see the beam. I tried reloading UI, logout, getting the graphics to minimun (wow) and nothing works.
The thing is that i can speak with Kireth (and persuade her) all the time; i talk to her and there is suposed that the beam lights, but nothing happens and i can start the dialog again and again.

only thing I can think of - dunno if it'll work - but perhaps you could get a friend to join you - make sure you're at the exact same stage of the quest (possibly restart the quest if you need to)

I thought at some point in the past they added the feature where party members now sync to whatever version of the world the party leader is in at the moment - possibly someone with you with different graphics settings/issues will be able to tell you how the beam is displaying on their end

no guarantee it'll work - it only works if the game DOES in fact sync other party members with the group leader's stage of the quest/world, but it's a possibility
