Getting disconneted while in loading screen

SInce 4-5 days I've been experience many crashes while loading, from porting to an house to another zone, to an instance, and aswell while loading my account. It's definatly not related to my connection not working, because i've been using it for other things meanwhile, it seems only an ESO problem

I have been having the same problem for a few weeks. The crashes occur most frequently while loading into a character (though usually not the first load in after I run the game -- this only tends to happen when I return to the character screen after already playing) and while reloading UI.

As it does not affect my roommate playing on the same PC and is also only an ESO problem, I have come to the conclusion that this is probably an addon issue. I have delayed troubleshooting it because it cannot be reliably reproduced (that is, the crashes happen fairly often, but not consistently -- sometimes I can go a full day without any, sometimes they happen a few times in a row).

I will eventually try to troubleshoot it if no solution is forthcoming, but the idea of turning off addons for extended periods of time seems even less fun to me than just restarting the game when this happens. Maybe someone else has already discovered the cause and will chime in here.

I dind't try aswell to disable addons, i don't use many of them, maybe we can see what share and start from there to do troubleshoot

I use loads! Since you don't use many, if you share which ones you use I can check if there is overlap?

I've had the same problem on PCNA. Sometimes it's when logging in a different character. Sometimes it's when porting to a house. Sometimes it's when porting to a wayshrine.

I don't want to go though testing add-ons because it happens so infrequently that It would be almost impossible to know if it was because of an add-on or if it just didn't do it that time.

I asked some raid mates if they had these addons aswell, and they all all except essential housing and synced account settings. I think it's synced account since it's not updated, i will test it these hours without and let you know

It doesn't look like I have any addons overlapping with both of you except CombatMetrics, and it almost certainly isn't that.

Also, I am now not sure if it is the same issue I am having as @Mizael ? I am not getting infinite loads, but hard crashes with an error message.

I do not have all of these equipped on all characters or 100% of the time where noted, but this has not made a difference in the crashes, so presumably it is not any of those.

I was also using Immersive Quests, but this kept throwing out UI errors so I disabled it. I thought this might be the culprit, but it is not, so I will probably re-enable it.

I am getting infinite loading screens that eventually kick out my character and bring me to the sign in page. It doesn't completely close the game. Sometimes I can get right back in and it works fine, but other times I get login errors. It's not happening every day.

Then we have the same issue, i am starting worrying that it is a library that is the culprit

Another thing I've noticed. Sometimes when this is happening I am also getting 503 errors trying to log in to the forums.

I don't think it's an add-on because it's too inconsistent. And it's suspicious that I sometime get errors trying to log in to the forums when this is happening, too.

So i tried disabling ALL, everything, and it still happened. IDK what to do

I don't think we can do anything. It sounds like something interfering with connecting to the server.

Same issue here for 2 days I think. Game disconnects when loading a character, a zone or even a delve. I also use lots of addons. I thought it might be my internet connection since I live in south america. PCNA, windows 10

When logging on to my 8th character today to do writs the game froze then took me to the login page. It gave error 315 "unable to connect to the lobby". I signed in again then it let me in.

I don't run huge numbers off addons.

I live on the edge of London and have an excellent broadband package.

The only time I can predict I will likely DC is when I am constantly jumping from house to house whilst decorating and then it is after a whole heap of jumping!

I have recently had issues with these Forums but not so many it's getting annoying, although for a few hours, a couple of days ago I couldn't access them at all, during that time my game was fine though.

My son(he's 30 btw) plays a lot of heavy use games and has set up our internet to cope with that, my game playing and my Hubbies VR Sim Racing.

I do think that these issues are often caused by the route to the server, people say "It's not me, everything else works fine" but everything else is not trying to connect to the ESO servers.

I hope you find the culprit but tbh I really don't think it's related to addons.

I ran into this too between the maintenance windows from June 26th to June 29th on PS5 and it was pretty bad (took me 6 tries to get into a dungeon + the tries to reconnect to the server after it disconnected me) + it was happening like every other zone I was trying to connect to; now I'm back to having no issues.

I would create a ticket, don't let them off the hook with a "Contact X", X being your ISP/Playstation/Xbox/etc, it's 100% on ESO, imo.

FWIW, performance on PC NA (PvE stuff; haven't tried Cyrodiil or IC) has been somewhat better for me over the past couple of days, but PC EU performance has deteriorated significantly. Noting that I'm very geographically proximate to the servers in Texas, latency on PC NA typically runs in the 80s, but almost always sub-100 except for a few seconds when initially loading into a zone.

PC EU has typically been about 200 or a bit less, also except when initially loading into a zone. For the past week or maybe two (since last maintenance?) PC EU has been constant random kicks and disconnects, somewhat lower than normal latency per the on-screen counter (~160-ish) followed by "server? what server? I don't know anything about a server. Try again later." One EU character took four relaunches to pick up and turn in the Zeal daily and do daily crafting writs, plus another relaunch while trying to unload stuff afterward. Same addons for both servers, but night-and-day performance difference. I generally get salty about "unplayable" comments, but PC EU has been frustrating enough recently that it's pretty darned close to that.

EDIT: and no sooner do I post that then PC NA starts to play "server? what server?" Go figure.
