It is what you can do, not what you have to do. Why is it bad?
The only thing I would add is an option to remove the challenge I don't want anymore.
Cannot believe, that they have now increased the amount of most of the weekly challenges, double in some cases! Only been playing for 6 years and very disappointed with the recent game changes. I don't want a grind/time consuming game. There was always some, but now getting ridiculous. Being retired, I can play when I like. I feel really sorry for people that are working and don't have the time to spend on things like this. It was fine as it was, most of it doable, as you run around doing other things.

That change only applies if you have unlocked the Bonus Pages and it only applies to new challenges (ones which were already showing in the Weekly and had any progress are unaffected). Frankly, the amount of grind to complete one of those doubled challenges in order to get one-tenth of the point value in gold is a pretty big ask. Example: 360 points (36 gold at the end of the season) for doing six Incursions versus 720 (72 gold at the end of the season) for doing 12? I can pickpocket stuff worth more than that in the time it takes to do one incursion.
If you are a Premium Tome purchaser, have reached the bonus pages, and want/need to get stuff bought before the autobuy kicks in at the end of the season, then yes, I can see the attraction. If you are a free-tier player, then unlocking the bonus pages left you with about 5K more points than there is stuff to buy on the free tier, so you're doing it strictly for the gold if you're going to do it, but 2K points will roll over to the next season.
I have a mental bet running with myself. I have bought all the collectibles on both tiers (except one) and have about 2K points still to spend. I'll bump that up a bit because I'm betting that the autobuy is going to give me the skill style for the Werewolf ability in spite of the fact that I have no characters (out of about 15) who have even unlocked that skill line at any point in the past five years and zero plans to unlock it at any point in the future. So I'm going to make sure that I have 2500 Tome Points going into the next Tome and then leave it alone.
It is indeed 10:1, which is a paltry amount honestly. I'm on the Free Tome and after the 2k we can carry over between Seasons, I'll have I think around 5-6k Points left. That'll be about 50-60k. If it were more like 25 or 30 per 1, I'd be inclined to keep doing Challenges, but as it is the small amount you get isn't worth the effort for me.Alphawolf01A wrote: »Cannot believe, that they have now increased the amount of most of the weekly challenges, double in some cases! I thought it was 10 gold per tome point. So 360 points is 3600 gold.
Hopefully some point in the near future they'll add the ability to either buy Consumables/Currencies on all the normal Pages repeatedly, or make those things on the Bonus Pages able to be bought repeatedly. Either or would work, and it would give people more choices in whether they want more Gold at the end of a Season or if other things like Seals or Potions are of better value for them.shadyjane62 wrote: »People have been asking for repeatability.
