Vanus Galerion's Favorite Title

I created a Necromancer and I have never once used, sank points into, or in any other way enacted any of the criminal skills from the Necromancer class. It is an extreme nerf but I agree with Vanus that Necromany should be banned. I am only Necromancer because I have no other choice inheriting my power organically by way of dying and returning to life without a soul for a time. It is not my fault I have this dark power in me but this does not mean I should give way to a less civilized manner of conducting myself.

I have never met or heard of another Necromancer player whose completely forgone criminality to practice safe magic. I would appreciate a title for those who have so we will know who we are and can look down our noses at the other weaker willed Necromancers.

I think we got that a couple of years ago: "Hadaliit of the Hidden Moon." 'Course it helps if you have fur, a tail, and follow Azurah (being from the First Era wouldn't hurt, either), but Zerith-var had a good take on non-criminal necromancy.
I'm fresh out of outrage, but I could muster up some amused annoyance if required.

Well excusssse you! Some of us rather enjoy raising a family! Its a lot of work digging up those all those graves. Great for character building, once you have all the parts. Besides necromancy is terrific for the environment. You'll never find a better recycling system anywhere else.

Would you want it to work like the Emperor / Former Emperor title, where if you no longer meet the requirements the title is removed or changed?

I think it would need to because otherwise lots of people would get it by getting to level 50 (or whatever the requirement was) without using any class skills, then switch to a normal necromancer once they had the title.

As for me, it's not something I've tried. My only necromancer is also a vampire, Thief, Assassin, bosmer who broke the Green Pact, and all around terrible person; a character created specifically for things my other characters would never do.

But your idea sounds like it might work for another character I had in mind and scrapped because the game mechanics wouldn't allow me to roleplay her properly, so it wouldn't be any different to a normal character. She's also not a good person, but she thinks she is, she believes once she's proven herself to be the greatest mage that ever lived everyone will agree that whatever she did to get there was justified, but I think she'd want to avoid being branded a criminal along the way.

You are disturbing and it disgusts me. The only thing I dislike about having choosen to back thr Daggerfall Covenant as an Imperial is the prevalence of Necromancy amongst the Breton. I trust King Emric is the most qualified to handle the threat Tamriel faces but the grave robbers and necrophiliacs are truly upsetting.

Yes, if someone uses a Necromancer Skill marked as "Criminal" then they should loose the ability to use the special title. It should only affect Necromancers but maybe there could be one for having never stolen or assassinated anyone. I do have the Thieves Guild Skill line and Dark Brotherhood expansion for the Personality but I have never actually done either quest line. I just wanted the personalities and I probably would buy rare art, books, and music etc from the Thieves Guild so I enjoy having the connection. As for the Dark Brotherhood I figure it is better to know who might get hired to assassinate me then to not. A unique title for having never committed a crime would be cool too.

I know these are silly titles but I am proud of being a Necromancer who has never used the "evil" Necromancer Skills. I've never met anyone else who has played one like I have and the main challenge you're going to discover is that all the damaging skills are the criminal ones so it suffers from DPS. I had to make up for that in other ways but I am a Tank so DPS isn't really my role. Necromancer has the best Tanking ability of any class. Dragonknight is third best and Warden is second but both of these are only marginally worse than Necromancer at tanking. They've done a decent job at balancing it.

Oh, and I've never gone Vampire or Werewolf. They are abominations. Granted I wouldn't kill either outright because there could be a good one just like I am a "good" Necromancer but they are few and far between.

Man, it sucks I have no friends that play this game. I love my toon but I never have anyone to socialize with in game.

I have a sorcerer that never used dark magic or summons dandruff.

I should get an award also for the character that never killed a thing either, crafted its way up to cp levels.

Hey, you're the one who brought up necrophiliacs, not me. But you know what, that's fine, whatever you do in your own time is your own business. You do you, my strange friend! But corpse herding is a very noble tradition in Tamriel, and I think you terribly misunderstand the role we necromancers play. I mean, you can make friends friends FOREVER* :D and isn't that wonderful?

Yes, I think you should get a special title option but that also sounds like a crafter. I tried doing one for my account years ago. It was such a slog. Good on you accomplishing that!

I am not Molag Bal. I don't need to enslave dead people to have friends. I will eventually find one who is alive and lives in Tamriel. That or a Bosmeri to marry! I've always wanted to marry a Wood Elf.
