"Key to the Tunnle??"

So I found a Message in a bottle refering to a "Key to the Tunnel" in the bows of a Ship north of Northpoint. I'm guessing It's in the silver chest inside the Lagre's Pearl? If so, how do I get at it? Is it quest related?
