New to the lore questions.

Soul Shriven
Hi all.

After staring at the map in game and asking a few questions it's ended up with me having a lot more questions so I figured I would ask them here to see if anyone has the answers.

As far as I can tell the Elder Scrolls seem to contain knowledge about both the past and the future however reading them / understanding even tiny bits of them causes massive side effects. However that is for the mortals who attempt to read them. What about the Daedric Princes? Can they read them? And are any of the Princes seeking / searching for any of the Elder Scrolls?

Is there anything that has explained why we are able to revive so quickly?

We've been referred to as a or the Vestige does that also mean that what we do in the regards of coming back to life is known in the game. Does this mean in theory us dying and returning is just part of what we do like... Silly example but a town is under attack a guard sees us rush in kill 3-4 of the bandits get impaled and then like 2 minutes later we're running past the same guard back into the fight. Guy is just like "Well the Vestige will kill them all in the end"

There was a semi-recent answer to your first question in one of the Loremaster's Archives which basically goes that Daedra cannot read the Elder Scrolls. Hermaeus Mora, as the Prince of Knowledge, covets their knowledge but it is forever out of reach for him.

Fast reviving is first and foremost a game mechanic. One must always keep in mind the separation of lore and gameplay (applicable to any game), and this is one of those things. However, there is also an explanation for it through the main questline. The Vestige is not truly mortal, but rather a Soul Shriven whose soul was sacrificed to Molag Bal. Their physical body is formed of Chaotic Creatia, like those of the Daedra, and thus they are able to reconstitute like the Daedra do.
