Night Market: Yell Chat vs Zone Chat

I wish to bring to attention the usefulness of and differences between Yell (/y) Chat and Zone (/z) Chat in the Night Market.

First of all, I am aware that in normal overland zones, using Yell Chat is generally considered rude behavior, and is to be avoided. The default red of Yell is alarming, and Zone chat’s khaki-yellow is preferable.

However, in Night Market they serve the specific purpose of coordinating efforts and Skirmish mechanics within each district without spamming the entire instance with chatter.

Reach and differences:
Yell chat in district: text chat stays within each district. Does not reach other districts, does not reach Starlit Plaza. Useful to call attention to specific activities, kept within the district.
Zone chat in district/Starlit Plaza: text chat reaches ALL in the instance, including ALL districts and Starlit Plaza. Useful for LFG/WTS/WTB requests.

Therefore in Night Market, it is actually better to use Yell in district to call out targeted bosses and Skirmish mechanics, rather than using Zone chat, which spams the entire instance with district-specific messages.

What about using Say chat (/s) ? The range is 25-30m from the source. Usage is more situational. If the group is continuously rezzing to the Oasis Wayshrine in a boss fight, Say chat may be out of their range of receipt.

It is not rude to be using Yell in Night Market districts.
