Returning Player - New Content Structure

Hi All,

Hope everyone is well!

I’ve played ESO since beta and since then I’ve been on and off. Just come back after around a 2 year break. The new systems I’m seeing look great on the surface, lots of free content is nice with some paid for extras if you want.

What I wanted to ask is what is the new content like? I’ve heard chapters are no longer a thing so do we still get big bits of dlc or is it more of a drip feed but free?

There isn't any new content yet. We're going to get a temporary "event zone", like a festival with its own map, soon. Some time after that we're going to get a quest chain, which I think will be permanent. But no new zones or dungeons or big story arcs have been announced, just little bits and pieces occasionally.

No more new DLCs were announced, as all the new content is promised to be free.
More that that, some of the old DLCs were added to the base game, and some more will join them after time. (not all, despite the rumors)

New permanent content announced this year:
- Sage Vault as some kind of instance full of puzzles
- two new quest lines (Sheogorath + Thieves Guild 2) and two types of quests (one of them is promised as Morrowind old style with no markers).
- solo mode for 2 existing DLC group dungeons
- Vengeance PvP campaign released version

Temporary and returning content, more like events:
- Night Market as compressed old Craglorn full of daily quests. You'll see it tomorrow, it lasts 7 weeks and will return later. Join The Thousand Eyes faction!
- 4v4v4 battlegrounds from time to time.

Probably I missed something.
Well, as you can see, we have something, but it is less and different than before.
Monetization was moved on the 3-month-long battle passes instead of annual chapters.
