Turned on game and it updates but gets stuck in middle of update

I turned on the game this morning and it keeps freezing about a third of the way thru updating. The only way to stop it after that is to turn off in task manager. I have turned off fire wall and still no luck. The only way I have gotten into game is to bypass the launcher. Any ideas?

Could you please provide a Game Consultant? You can get that by clicking the cog at the top right of the screen, select About and then run Game Consultant. You can then post it here using the Spoiler tags.

I do not see the game consultant. I am just getting in now by using the .exe file and totally bypassing Launcher. If I go into launcher it completely freezes on me.

Try restarting the launcher, also ensure the process in the task manager is completely gone before you relaunch the launcher that usually gets the download going, the launcher forces a self check to see where you left off and then begins resuming downloading, if it does stop again try hitting the pause button and unpausing it it will reconnect to the servers and usually correct the problem.

As for the launcher freezing try downloading the client from the site again there should be a repair option to fix the install. Then attempt to launch the launcher again

The game consultant tool was added to the launcher, it was not visible on first launch of the launcher I had to exit the launcher and relaunch for a launcher patch to download and install giving me the game consultant tool option in the options menu. Keep us apprised on your status.
