Beacon of oblivion buff?

I want to put my hat out there in the ring to ask for the potential of buffing the beacon of oblivion set. I'm sure other similar sets need the same attention, but looking at that said, it's very uncompetitive for PVP with a battle Spirit limitation attached to it. The battle Spirit limitation is too brutal for this set to be considerable.

Not all sets are meant for all modes.

Beacon needs a buff but not for PvP.

The set just needs a complete redesign from the ground up, same as the other Sorc class set.

BoO was the one set I expected to be designed for pet builds (being for the pet line), but instead it was the set designed for non-pet builds and only really in a boring stat buff way too...

This set is incredibly boring conceptually and i think it struggles as a result. BoO was made during the time the devs were still trying to design sorc around pet and non pet load outs. Not a bad thing mind you I hate pets and I appreciate that they tried to grant alternative play styles in the class but they didnt commit either way and as a result things got messy. This further compounds with the fact that the pet vs no pet thing was completely dropped when they decided that subclassing should just be the solution for sorcs who dont want to use pets... only for that to also be walked back because there are tons of no-pet skill morphs in Daedric Summoning that just would forever go unused by anyone if subclassing was truly the solution. So now we have a mediocre class set who's design still assumes that pet specs are meant to be the defensive support load outs and no pet are the offensive ones, or rather pet builds deal more damage so their benefits are defensive and no pets are behind so their benefits are offensive.... chicken or egg point is the 2-4 piece sucks and battle spirit kills it for pvp too.

BoO is definitely not an option for PvP.

It’s a boring set, but, let’s be honest, Sorc is probably the one class with the biggest identity problem.

It’s difficult to design a gear set that delivers unique and interesting mechanics when the class that it’s for is all over the map like Sorc is.

BoO, IMO, is a descent PvE set for a non-pet Sorc. We can scale base damage pretty easily and since we lack any good burst, BoO can significantly dial up the world skills we need to borrow if we’re going to do much else besides one-trick heavy attack. I pair BoO with Oblivion’s Foe, scribing Soul Burst as an AoE damage skill that turns into solid numbers; albeit in a somewhat niche setup, so not really broadly useful.

It’s one of the weaker class sets out of the whole lineup and needs a full rework. Even leaving the full 15% damage buff in PvP wouldn’t be enough to make it really good.

All the class sets outside of Corpse Burster (and pre nerf pyre brand) are not good, they all need to be reworked

Pyrebrand is still good, even after the nerf.
