Update infinite

Bredenkamp
Good day to all. I just want to say the following. In hope of either fixing the problem, even if it was somehow my fault. Or at least help others from going down the same path.

I was part of the last two betas, and participated in the three day early access. My beta launcher was dated up the weekend of pre-launch. I played on early access successfully. I then got my retail copy on Friday. A wonderfully made case and map with four DVDs. I install it on NA server, since it is recommended. Noted, my beta was recommended on Europe server. But it is four DVDs, I thought well this works. Then I see the launcher wanting to update.

Fine, I can see how they want to update, I think it was just shy of 2 gig. But then I saw it is almost done and at 3%. Later it wanted to update 13gig, and then I do not know how much. I went to sleep at maybe 20% or something. This morning I awoke (on my birthday btw) to the thought of me and my brother (who both upgraded to the digital imperial edition, thank you for the feature btw) and I put in my details for the 180 day payment edition for both of us. Again thank you for the option.

I work with ZAR, basically 1Euro = 15 Rand. So this is a rather expensive thing for me. But I love the franchise and the game. I am going to play it for a long time. but still.

So the point is: Why does it update like it wants the whole internet on my pc? Did I do something wrong? If I did, please inform us all (5million on betas, I think you said) so this does not happen to any other person. I am highly upset (still don't know with who)

If I can fix this, PLEASE tell me how. If not, please inform the rest of the populace so they can learn from this experience.

Thank you again for a great gaming experience. Hope this was one that will not repeat itself.
