Quest: Vines and Villains Bugged

In Glenumbra during the side quest Vines and Villains, disguises do not work. Regardless if which "disguise" I wear, both sides attack on sight even without the sentry eye appearing above any of them. Perhaps this is a bug introduced by the change one or two patches ago involving costumes and disguises?
