ZOS destroyed its game by seeing what happened today with DK today.

This is a "Damned if you do, damned if you don't." type situation, so I will put it like this:

I would much, MUCH rather the developers take as long as they need to in order to balance the classes out instead of having them rush their way through every class in the span of three months only for people to complain about everything at the same time. It's far better to get feedback on one class than seven at the same time.

It would have been better to simply not have subclass. Or just remove it. This is the longer and more expensive route to fixing this problem.
All of the people who don't like that statement couldn't wait to hurry up and jump on the new DK today though.
The class reworks should theoretically restore balance. Hopefully the class mastery will be enough to allow the other pure classes to function in end game until they can get reworked. There never should have been a period where they were rendered practically useless in the first place.

I don't want to invalidate anyone's feelings about the update, just to say I'm really enjoying all of the changes and the game finally feels like it's moving in the right direction. New DK is fun too, and I think the upcoming additional pure class pick 2 passives gives a lot of room for theorycrafting and new build ideas, so I'm excited for that and especially for the overland difficulty options.

As a Necromancer main, I certainly get where you're coming from though. I think it'll be worth it in the end though, especially with how well the DK rework turned out. Restored some faith that maybe this new leadership will actually do Necromancers justice.

Post like this, you gotta sigh. At least ZOS is tying, compared to other games. People gonna cry about anything. If ZOS was to fix the game correctly. People will still come cry on forums about something. Really most of the post isn't about the game, just certain people wanting attention. I said the ugly part out loud.

Agree. It is frustrating right now on live but it be what it be.

Would you prefer them to not rework the classes at all? To not update anything at all for 2-3 years and release all the class reworks at the same time? Because news flash, those two options are the only other alternatives. They would not have been able to put as much effort as they did into the DK rework for every class at the same time without it taking years.

Releasing one at a time has it's downsides, but it's literally the only way they can put this much effort into each class rework without taking forever to release it.

It also allows them to keep track of what works and what doesn't as they're adding new features.

The devs know that sub-classing broke the game. They are trying to fix it. A proper fix takes time. Chiiiiill.

The meta before was just subclass or die trying. Congratulations on your new option. I’m sorry your favorite class wasn’t buffed into the stratosphere, but it’s called “having patience”. The game wasn’t broken in a day, and it won’t be fixed in a day.

I have 11 characters. Variety is the spice of life. I just reworked my mag DK that's just been sitting there for years.

I recommend you start another character, you can always come back to your other character later.

That is exactly what ZOS wants you to do! Forcing players into other classes is unacceptable.

They did say “play the way you want”.it is a lie!

I was a necro main and I want to remain a necro main but because of all nerfs they did to my class that now it feels like a scam and I was forced to into other classes for both PvE and PvP.

Once again the quote they said about how we can play is a lie, and am tired of being forced to play the class of the moment because either you get trashed in PvP by other players or simply that overland content is too hard to solo compared to other classes or that group contents are kicking you out because you are that type of class that isn’t of the moment.

Right the place will be full of DK and I can already see ingame, and soon it will be warden( the class I hate the most) then sorc and such. But because necro is last then people will likely just stick to the previously remastered classes.

Bro we all want balance and the classes updated but to ask players to wait years for you to correct something you forced on your player base is just crazy like I said the game is 15 years old why I gotta wait 2 years just to compete like seriously years

Its okay to be frustrated, but no. There will never be another MMORPG like these. This is the last of its kind. If a company is trying to change things I am all for it. PvP and new skills is a blast. PvE and new skills + new mechanics will be a blast.

Everything beyond ESO at this point is a dark abyss of business and greed. Zenimax does their best to cover their costs with cosmetics. I'm happy we get a dev team literally communicating and trying to please many perspectives.

You want to be a Necro main? Be a Necro main. No one at ZOS is saying you can’t play a Necromancer ever. It’s a video game, and you can have fun with it if you want to.

Necromancer is still extremely strong. Like if you want to play necro play necro literally no one is stopping you.
