I booted up my client to check if there is an update available before I played (I launch the game directly for fear of the client bug where it redownloads the whole game) and there is one. However, I don't see anything else but a bar. No download speed info nor file size info. There isn't even an option to pause the download. Is this how it's going to be, or is it a bug?

    It never finished for you? Mine finished. It took a while halfway through, but it was just the launcher update - not a patch.

    Yes. Launcher updates are small enough that it just updates itself and moves on.

    Definitely seems like a bug. I've never had a download without information.
