Dungeon Finder

I've been trying to do a specific dungeon for weeks to grind for some gear. I think I've managed to do it 3 or 4 times. It takes anywhere from 30 minutes to several hours to get a hit and get into it.

I'm just curious how I'm supposed to do this? I am pretty close to just giving up and looking for antoher build I have stuff for already. Trying to do this just isn't working out and I don't understand why.

Anyone else have this issue? Solutions?

    1) Find 3 more ppl to grind it and q normal. It does not matter what difficulty to grind, you always can recreate any piece, you just need to farm. It is MMO, communicate with ppl in guild, Discord, etc.

    2) Build good DD and Q as tank or healer. By good DD I mean a DD what can pass this dungeon solo or mostly solo, or this character should be able to taunt and really tank a boss when needed while doing damage. With current meta, it is an easy task, especially if you are farming normal as suggested. If you are not sure if you can do it - return to point 1.

If it is DLC dungeon, it will be hard to farm it with randoms naturally, because DLC dungeons a bit harder than usual dungeons so many people just avoid them, and not everyone have all DLCs, it further decreases chance to find a group.

If I don’t have others to help, I wait until that dungeon is one of the Undaunted pledges and pick it up that day. The queue is faster and I run it as much as I can that day. It can be a long wait if it’s not one of the pledges, and I can’t stand waiting in the queue forever.

Can always try other ways of forming a group, such as asking in guilds (or joining one if not in one), putting a run up in group finder, asking people in random groups if they'd like to run again (and if you find like-minded players, it's good to try and get them on your friends list), even asking in zone chat in popular areas such as craglorn or zones with the undaunted questgivers... it's a mmo, one will have more success trying to be social.

If able, making yourself available as a tank or a healer will increase the odds of getting a group too, as those are always in short supply compared to dps.

Trying to run several times when the desired dungeon comes up as a pledge is good advice also.

The dungeon queue is kind of a fallback tool and it can help, but the thing is it's random and it just throws groups together - it's not really great for completing a very specific task like repeating a dungeon for gear. As mentioned above, the pool of people in the random finder will include some who don't have access to that particular DLC, or players who just don't want to run a longer / more difficult DLC dungeon - especially with an unknown group where there is no certain outcome of success.

Out of curiosity, which dungeon is it? Some DLC's are difficult for PuG's or are a slog without a good group and it's just going to be harder to find people wanting to do those, unfortunately. But other options too are that some can be soloed, and pretty much any of them can generally be completed without a *full* group on normal.
