How to tell if you can gift crowns on Xbox?

So like the title says how do you tell. I am able to on pc but that does not help me with knowing if I can on xbox.

You could try to gift a cheap furnishing.

While i guess I could I was just hoping there was a way to tell without resorting to that.

On PC at least, you get a warning that gifting is locked *instead* of the popup asking who you want to gift the item to - so assuming it works that way on console, you either find out that you can't gift, or you just back out of it if it asks you who you wanna gift to.

(Still, to be extra safe I'd test it with the lowest value item you can find lol).

EDIT with an additional thought: I suppose you could also just try putting in a support ticket and asking them.

In order to gift to someone you have to enter their gamertag first so there's no risk at all with trying to select send as a gift even if you have it unlocked as you can hit back before entering the GT.

If you are on PC, you have to engage Customer Support to gift crowns to someone on Xbox.

and their response? If you don't meet their criteria they will tell you that you don't meet the criteria for gifting but they will not tell you what that criteria is.... go ahead and try that - I have been through several rounds now with them
