Battleground leaderboards resetting prematurely when there is maintanence

I've noticed this happen for a couple of weeks whenever there was maintanence or a patch. When there is still more or less than a day left for the leaderboard to close, the scores so far for that week just hard reset.
I was active during the week with a good score and everyones scores were wiped before the closing time, and only the scores after the reset were counting. I'm currently farming galeskrimish gladiator style pages, and it made me lose the rewards for the week.
It did not happen this week since there was no planned maintanence.
