Would you play Vengeance while queuing for Grey Host?

It looks that the most likely solution to keep the PvP community is to offer both Vengeance and Gray Host as an option for Cyrodiil.

The general question is to all the Grey Host fans out there: How important is Blackreach to you?

If Grey Host was pop-locked, would you be happy playing Vengeance for an hour or would you prefer to jump into Blackreach? I ask this because I haven't seen a whole lot of discussion from the devs as to the importance of Blackreach, both as a stand alone campaign as well as a place where people can do PvP when they can't access GH.

Vengeance is fine as an alternative.

I want Blackreach as a backup or no PvP for me.

I like your question conceptually however I expect you will be criticized for the lack of response options. Again however, it is a good line of questioning.

    Point taken.
My main concern is that I think ZOS is again about to push something through without thinking through the consequences.
Given how little it takes to pop-lock Grey Host during primetime, I get feeling is that a lot of players would rather log off than play Vengeance for an hour.

Hopefully the devs at ZOS are aware of this.

Perhaps. Lets see how how the poll plays out. Thanks for posting it.

I go to IC while queueing for Cyro, or just stand around watching something til it does queue. Wouldn't step in vengeance even during greyhost queue

Zos then: Vengeance is just a test bro

Zos now: Do you want Vengeance permanent or permanent...

Now that I know vengeance was a bait and switch from inception I will never touch vengeance again, especially if it becomes the only option, even if it's only for a temporary time frame, no vengeance for me ever again under any circumstances. It's just a reminder of how ZOS treats it's customers. They should be fixing GH like they've always told us they were.

I only play Gray Host. I don't use other campaigns as a substitute while waiting in the queue. That would be immersion breaking for me.

I don't play Grey Host... so I'd only go into Vengeance. But even that depends on how it turns out after all the testing and what they decide to run with.

I play IC while waiting for Gray Host typically.

In my opinion they should implement faction lock into IC and have people waiting for their Cyrodill que to be put into IC in order to maintain the que.

It's what a lot of people do anyway while waiting for their Cyrodill que.

It's what used to happen when both Gray Host and Blackreach were poplocked often.

As a PvE main, I'd play Vengeance over anything - a more level playing field without having to go farm a bunch of gear and deal with unkillable sweat tanks and bombers. Sounds good to me - same with all of my friends. AND massive siege battles again.

You just made the case for vengeance versions of trials and vet dungeons.

I mean not really lol, but sure if you want to really reach. I wouldn't equate cyrodiil to vet dungeons? You can go in and complete a vet dungeon with pvp gear much easier than you can go into cyrodiil and compete with your pve build. Not even close to the same.

vet dlc dungeons and trials are just as skill/gear gated as PvP

Ok.. except a vast, vast majority of players play pve and can queue in for a game mode like vengeance without the threat of getting completely washed by a bomber or an unkillable tank or a ballgroup. You can't possibly think that those 2 things are equal. If you're trying to get technical sure, they both require lots of knowledge, research, specific builds, etc; however, that's not an argument for vet trials/DLC dungeons needing a vengeance mode. That doesn't even make sense. ZOS is completely unable to improve greyhost servers without doing something like vengeance. Don't shoot me because i'm telling you the truth and what they've been telling you lol. I would love a return to the old days of greyhost when it wasn't as crappy as it is now, but saying that vengeance doesn't help new players jump in and play is just false. A story mode version of dungeons would do the same for new players and dungeons rather than hitting CP 300 and being able to just queue for vet DLC dungeons, which is something we in PvE have been asking for this entire time. As would vet overland requiring more knowledge of your class to play through. Let's not try to paint this as something it's not. Both are being asked for to improve access to new players into end game content.
