just curious, why Orcs and Khajit combo? Seems a bit random... Do Orcs have any special connection to the moons as the Khajit do? And to what culture is "honor feather" exactly related to?

I suspect the short answer is they had an assortment of orc and khajiit themed items reserved for crates and/or the crown store which hadn't gotten used yet, concluded they weren't going to have enough for a full set of either any time soon so they put them together, padded out with some other odds and ends and came up with a name for it.

Crown Crates are usually only loosely related to anything else going on in the game, so I suspect the process is normally similar - the artists design a bunch of items, someone decides which ones are going into the crown store and crates and which will be in-game rewards, then they pick from that selection to make a set and give it a name based on what they've got. Obviously it's easier when there's lots of similar things, and somethings will be reserved for festivals (like anything creepy will be held until the Witches Festival), but at other times of the year they use whatever.

I think they've given up trying to make a lore reason for these things. It all comes down to what they think will sell. Does Honorfeather have anything to do with anything? Nope. But people will buy them to identify with something they like about their character regardless. Adding flashy animations associated with with it that should be somewhere in the game as an earnable anyway and boom: profit.

but what exactly is Khajit themed besides the moon as a symbol? All the weapons and armor etc. look orcish and everything I cant connect to the Orcs I cant place with the Khajit either?

I would usually assume in such a game you would tell the artists hey we have this theme going on so the next crown crate season should be centered around this or that.

They might do that in some cases, but this time it just seems to be recycling.

Maybe it's honoring that Khajiit who was raised as an orc.

i guess, just weird to me that you design everything around Orcs and then instead of an Orc symbol you slap a moon on it and now for no apparent reason its an Orc Khajit colab... without the moon and them calling it that way i don't think anyone would have related it to the Khajit...just wondering what the thought was...

    Clan Bragosh, the Hammer Clan
Known for their smithing skills, this clan created specialized armor and weapons and was known as a trader of goods and supplies. Evidence suggests the clan was eventually absorbed by the Morkul clan.

    Clan Pandrum, the Fire Clan
A clan rumored to be filled with primitive healers and shamans, they supposedly controlled fire, using it as both a weapon and a tool to take care of a variety of tasks. They seem to have disappeared from history after the second siege of Orsinium.

    Clan Enclave, the Star Clan
Not much is known about this mysterious clan, other than they provided aid to other clans for their own purposes. Rumors persist that the clan still exists somewhere deep in the Wrothgar wilderness.

    Clan Luccin, the Wolf Clan
This clan was known for conducting effective and terrorizing raids during the night. They were adept at moving through darkness and often took their enemies completely by surprise. Some believe that the clan was eventually absorbed by the Shatul clan.

    Clan Murtag, the Rock Clan
One of the oldest clans still in existence to the current day, this clan makes its home in the mountains of Wrothgar, carving dwellings deep within the very rock itself.

    Clan Ruskahr, the Owl Clan
A clan of highly skilled archers, they were known for their impressive tracking and hunting skills. They revered owls of all types, but especially the snow owl.

I haven't read any flavor text, but the only Khajiit-flavored thing I saw in the crates that springs to mind is maybe the paper lanterns, which remind me of the Hakoshae ones from the Elsweyr chapter. But that's about it. But even then, Hakoshae is Akiviri in history/origin so... hmmm...

There are some items related to Khenarthi as well as some khajiit-inspired outfits and furnishings, but the majority seems to be orcish-themed.
