Vengeance when opening inventory

video gets all weird and can't do anything when i open up the inventory and try to open the Vengeance bag to swap gear. this is what i get for errors...

It honestly kind of scares me that our inventory from the regular game is now carried into vengeance mode - feels like a great opportunity for bugs or player mistakes that lead to the loss of inventory items.

ZOS know that too. They even have a little warning. Seems a strange choice.

only open inventory in the faction base. I know they said it in the opening but not everyone pays attention.

happens there as well. same errors, if possible to do i have to reload my ui, otherwise i have to close the game and re start. no fun

Disable your addons, especially PerfectPixel (looks like you could be using it according to the look of your inventory tab icons top right and not being shown at the usual spots) if you got errors or problems with the Vengeance UI.
It's totally new and addons have to adopt first, but unfortunately there is no way to enable vengeane at PTS so we can only see, test and fix during live sessions which is a mess :-( :-( :-( Thanks ZOs, please provide us a way to enable vengeance UIs and features on PTS any time so we can fix and update addons any time.

thanks Baertram, definatinly was an add on causing it, logged in and was able to open the inventory bag with zero issues, now to figure out which, starting with perfect pixel!

perfect pixel, autocategory, wpama,and the personal assistants all giving me a hard time in Vengeance. disabled those and back to working smoothly, thanks again Baertram!

Expecting players to remember that, especially on live is ridiculous. I have to basically disable my entire addon setup AND not be able to randomly check something in my inventory while in vengence?

I forgot that PP got added vengeance support already so it should not be the cause here (maybe at a vengeance vendor, need to check that).
According to others it's most probably AutoCategory or other inventory related addons which need an update to support the new tabs and filters.

Expecting addon devs to fix things for you within 1 week, where you do not even report it to them at esoui.com before, sounds ridiculous/impossible to me.

It's the same as with every patch. Please wait for fixes and disable addon's so long. Nothing new, nothing ridiculous. Only your expectations seem wrong, as you can see by the other constructive posts here?
Maybe it's because you do not understand what effort is needed to keep that all runningfor us all.
Rethink your attitude please, or maybe stop using addons in total if they are such a big trouble.

There exists an addons which can save addons to profiles/packs you can easily switch, so perhaps this helps to circumvent the errors too:

Personal Assistant dev here, what is exactly the problem with the addon?

It's definitely frustrating when things don't work, but lets remember that right now Vengeance is a temporary test environment that is only up for a short time every couple months, and it changes each time.

I'm sure once it's actually finalized and a permanent part of the game, addon authors will be able to get their addons updated to work with Vengeance, but I wouldn't expect this when Vengeance is still essentially a beta test.

On the other hand, some addon authors might do well to remember that they are dealing with the public and are going to encounter all types of people with different cultural norms, maturity levels, attitudes, and technical knowledge / understanding of what goes into making an addon. Patience is a virtue.

I'm well aware I'm in the internet and there are many different circumstances.

But on the one side there are enough players who got patience themselves, who search for fixes, and even if they got different cultural norms and technical know-how they find a way to help themselves, or search for help without ranting. They find a way to write constructive, or supportive messages/comments, provide feedback that helps fixing the issues.

Where on the other there are users posting obstructive and harming messages: Clearly meant to add no value to a solution, but just complaining/ranting.
No matter if that wasn't intended and just quickly posted in anger... It's always easy to say sorry afterwards, when harm was already done!

Not sure how you handle that, maybe just ignoring it. But how should they learn it was bad in the end, making them think about their next posts before they write them?

I'm personally not going to tolerate it.
I'm answering and explaining it to them, in the hope they will think about it again.

If the user, in the end, will think about it or not is nothing I can or want to control. But at least they might get an incentive to think about it from a different perspective for the future.

If their posts keep being that desctructive one can either way start to ignore them in the future and show patience

not an error, but the auot consuming for everything i have set so i just don't use it there

I wasnt blaming addon makers, theyre amazing. i was mad at zos for possibly breaking the ui again.

At any rate, I went in vengeance later that day and nothing broke that i was aware of. Some Addons seemed to auto disable since I was stuck with the default ui.

You mean it tries to auto consume but the vengeance doesn't allow food/drink so you have the top right corner notification?

I’ve been in Vengeance each of the past two days with WPAMA on (as well as all my other add-ons, though no others in your list here). I encountered no problems with the inventory menu and saw no error messages.

A fellow guildie of mine is saying he has run both WPAMA and Personal Assistant together in Vengeance with no problems.

Did you test these individually? It seems odd that they’d work fine for some people but not others.

yeah, nothing really happens, just get the notification but thats an easy fix in there.side note, i really enjoy using the auto add ons you have!

They will probably add back consuming food/drink at some point in future versions of vengeance so all we need to do is waiting.
