We have the pipes and the bubbler why not the stuff you put in it? All we need is Zos to add Moonsugar to the Alchemy ingredient list maybe even though a dlc or event with unique benefits, movement speed will definitely have to be involved to. Maybe even something to do with the thieves guild, because you gotta steal to support that addition right? Peeerfect for a khajiit thief rp experience.

It used to be a provisioning ingredient I think, but taking drugs is bad (except alcohol apparently).

It would be funny if we got a master writ to cook skooma for a "special" client.

Also necromancy isn't real. Well, someone could try, I guess. That could be bad.

I don't think skooma is a drug per se.

Sure, I unfortunately don't know the whole recipe but, at its core, it's made with moon sugar which, I believe, is just as sweet as ours refined white sugar. Or, perhaps, they're both really the same thing — they're both refined, crystallized and white, after all — but maybe on the medieval ambiance given by Elder Scrolls, people sweeten things up with honey, for example.

And by itself, sugar is tremendously addictive and because of the terrible side effects, it may be considered a drug.

Moonsugar distilled into skooma is how it becomes a hard drug. Which would be weird for the character to make tbh. Moonsugar by itself as an ingredient would be cool to add to the ingredient list! It isnt really a drug, and more of a spice. There are many khajiit dishes that use it.

As for everyone going on about how moonsugar can be used as a drug, and there are drugs in the real world... Is everyone forgetting that coffee is a type of drug... It's a stimulant... So yes there are harmless "drugs" too. Moonsugar can be placed in that category UNTIL it is refined into skooma.

I'm just saying that the creators seem to see a real world risk to allowing us to craft skooma in game. There really isn't one for necromancy. Not one that is likely to be taken on by a large number of people.

Why wasn't Moonsugar and Skooma an issue in the single player games?

Good thing too! Making skooma in game might give me that push I've been avoiding to buy an RV, shave my head and cook some <snip> Thanks ZOS!

(I assume the word would be snipped anyway and I give the poor mods enough work 😄)

Moonsugar and skooma aren't an issue in this game. They just aren't in ESO. They are Morrowind Oblivion and Skyirm, but you can't craft skooma with moonsugar in those either. You could buy it though. Skooma is mentioned in ESO... CONSTANTLY especially in AD zones and Elsweyr.
I remember a quest where we could lie and say that an npc didn't die of a skooma overdose... even though bro CLEARLY did. OFC, I ain't no snitch. A did say nothin. 🤣
Point is It's in the narrative of the gameis all. In fact, ever since skooma was introduced in morrowind we ALWAYS had to buy it from someone, and that just dawned on me...

As for why moonsugar isn't an ingredient in THIS game, the immediate thought is balance. Every time a new alchemy ingredient is added it was a whole thing. Only 3 effects per potion/poison gets harder for every option added. It could always get added later down the line, though. Mother of pearl ,the dragon bile/blood/rhuem were added post release, so I never say never. The game makes a point that any potion you can consume you can make, though. So if you couldn't make skooma in previous games that had moonsugar as an ingredient, not likely hear. They also make every potion available in game somehow.

TLDR If moon sugar is added it would be like Skyrim where you still can't craft skooma with the alchemy system. An mmo spinoff would be an interesting first place to allow that. but stranger things have happened🤔. As for why moonsugar isn't in the game as of now... 🤷<- the most adult answer online ever.

Yes, I always recycle my assistants. Easier than looking for new ones, especially since people are slowly getting suspicious.

Times change. Censorship gets more pronounced and they pay more attention.

As I pointed out in another thread in TES III an NPC literally tells you they are going to kill you then r**e your corpse - that game was rated PEGI 12+.

I really doubt the ones responsible for censorship actually play an entire game, hunting every single line, of every single NPC to give the whole rate X or Y

They don't have to. There are entire groups in the US (much more than most countries) who scour this stuff to report it to the censors - because you know, computer games are to blame for everything apparently. Weird no other country has the same problems.

I firmly believe its these types of people who are really responsible for a great deal of evil in the world. Idiots.
