Can't add friends anymore

I get a "You must wait longer to use that operation." message whenever I try to add people to friend list (Contacts) since a few days ago.

Are you at max number of friends (100)?

Wait 30mins (or more...) and try again. Or make sure last friend accepted/rejected your friend invite.

Sometimes it seems like the server has difficulty in keeping up or limits the number of concurrent friend requests.

Not at max number, no; somewhat close, though; It's only been like this for a few days; and my friend has the same problem the other way around.

Removed two friends to make sure it's not related to the cap, problem still persists; has persisted for ~3 days now; PC EU fwiw

Try @tincanman approach. I'm all out of ideas other than - well - bug.

Have tried that, even after sleeping a full night but pretty sure it's just a bug

Pad of paper and a pen to note down account names until it is fixed or get them to try adding you.

Already started a list haha, other way around (people trying to add me) the other person will get the same error, but on their end; I've contacted support in the meantime though, hopefully we will be able to resolve this issue. Just wanted to post to see if others have the same issue or if it's limited to my account.
