So I have been playing since BETA so I consider myself a veteran player.
Been on a break for about one month and playing other games
When you are playing a game daily I think one's judgement becomes clouded thus not being objective about the game.
This break allowed to really see some things that are horrible in the current state of the game.
1. The animations, what the hell has happened?
2. The balance in PVP is really bad, I am usually top tier in BG's so it's not that I loose. But alot of sets and abilites are so utterly usesless.
3. The freaking lag.... It is so bad I don't know where to begin.
4. Overland... I have tried so many years giving my sincere feedback on this matter. There is no incentive to play overland with my main toon or even anything at this point. The game is just too easy! Every mob or boss just feels like a reskin of the former.
I have said it in the past and I'll say it again, SOME things were alot better before One tamriel. The game felt progressive, meaningfull and had incentives. It felt like an adult game
Throughout the years I feel like the game is being catered more and more to children or casual/lazy players.
The overall feel of the game is shallow, pointless and starting to feel more and more like a mobile game instead of a MMORPG.
It's really cool though that I have kept playing the game since BETA wich will be 12 years soon. That means the game has been doing ALOT of things right.
Maybe I am just growing apart from ESO or my 37 year old brain needs something more impactful.
I wish that ZOS would take this game in another direction compared to where it is going.
Imagine having good animations, questing would be a challange in the beautiful world of Tamriel. Your main toon could be progressed through something. Another dynamic playthrough than PVP...
Well one could only wish! What are your thoughts?
