If you mean the furniture vault: Pretty much everything I haven't placed in a house. The only time I place furniture is for an endeavor, and I've gotten lazy recently by just putting away something that's already there and placing it again.
If I have 10+ of anything (that I'm not actively using in a build), they go in the box. It's been fun scouring my storage houses and chucking stuff in there.
I ran out of slots in my furniture vault, so I had to split items between the vault and my houses. My rule is simple: if I have three or more of an item, it goes into the vault to save space, but anything with two or fewer stays in the houses. This change cut me down from eight storage homes to just two, which makes searching through my collection much easier.
The only drawback to the vault is the preview. When I am looking for inspiration, it is nice to walk through a house and see furnishings in context, like browsing a department store, where you can get a better sense of size and placement than the vault interface allows.
When I'm *finally* free from the event grind, I'll check the Inventory Insight addon. It'll show which furnishings I have the largest number of. (The answer for "largest number of one furnishing" will be "Void-Crystal Anomaly" lol. I know I have over 400 of those. Maybe over 500.)
Furnishings I have the largest amounts of and won't use immediately will go in the vault. So...probably all of my Void-Crystal Anomalies will be the first to go in there. I keep hoping ZOS will make them able to be sold or even deconstructed someday...though they didn't let us deconstruct old jewelry, when we got jewelrycrafting.

Getting lost in TESO Tamriel and beyond since Beta 2013!
Alliance agnostic: all factions should chill the fetch out and party together.
If you ever wonder why certain official fandom spaces are so often toxic and awful, remember: corruption starts from the top. ^^v
In my furnishing vault I've placed stuff I have duplicates of am likely to get duplicates of in the future. For my surreal estate it is a properly decorated wizard tower.
