Black Gem Foundry first boss not purging

We had someone trying to go for their BGF trifecta today and when the group stood in the boss cone or reappearance circle while blocking it didn't purge us as usual. It happened multiple times.
- Casual Roleplaying PVE player PC/NA
- Tank ~CP2600 'Sugar-Flame'
- I've completed all the dungeon trifectas. Swashbuckler Supreme, Godslayer, Gryphon Heart, Immortal Redeemer, Tick Tock Tormentor, Dawnbringer, and I'm looking for nice folks to complete more trial achieves with.
